ELDER INVITATION
Following morning worship, the elders will be available to members
and guests for prayer and ministry. Simply come to the front of the
sanctuary where we will be glad to: pray for your personal needs, lead
you in receiving Jesus Christ as your Savior, discuss church
membership.

ESPECIALLY FOR OUR GUESTS
We are glad to have you worship with us today. You
are worshiping with people who experience the
same difficulties of life as you. We have nothing to
boast about except the God we worship. Please relax
and focus upon the Lord Jesus who loves you and
desires for you to follow Him. While God has surely
led you here, you likely still have a number of im-
portant questions about us; how to get more involved and connected in
meaningful relationships, or about your own personal or spiritual needs.
If so, please allow us to help you by completing the guest registration
inside the back cover or by coming forward during the invitation time.

TEC FALL 2015—SUNDAYS 5:00 p.m
Discovering Trinity — Fellowship Hall 1
Trinity’s four-week membership class explains Trinity’s purpose, doc-
trine leadership, and much more information that will help you make an
informed decision about joining Trinity. This class is a requirement for
membership.
Dates: 9/27, 10/4, 10/11 (10/14 & 10/21—Wednesdays at 6:00)
Introduction to Christian Apologetics — Fellowship Hall 6 & 7
Many of us have been asked or have asked ourselves, “What reasons
are there to really believe that God actually exists?”, “Who or what
created God?”, or ,“If God exists, why is there conflict between science
and faith?” If you or someone you know has doubts like these, consid-
er this class on evidence for the existence of God. It’s an in-depth look
at scientific and philosophical reasons to believe that God exists, and
it’s taught by William Lane Craig, considered to be one of the leading
experts in the world on this subject. It will strengthen your faith, and
you’ll come away with more confidence to talk about your faith with
friends and family members who may have doubts.
Dates: 9/27—12/13, facilitated by Ryan Polk
The Atonement Thread — Fellowship Hall 5
Atonement Thread traces the Bible’s story through the lens of the
atonement woven throughout the Scriptures, from Genesis to Revela-
tion. Atonement is at the heart of the gospel, which is why God’s peo-
ple call everyone everywhere to believe in Jesus, to find their place in
the thread that continues in a life of reconciliation and peace, both now
and for eternity. When we see how all the Scriptures point to Jesus, we
allow the gospel to work on us, to move through us, and ultimately, to
transform us.
Dates: 9/27—12/13, facilitated by Chris Haynes
Motivate Your Child — Choir Room
Use this step-by-step guide to identify a specific problem and then de-
fine a character-based solution. Follow five steps to craft a parenting
plan tailored to your child’s unique gifts and needs. When parents have
defined plans, they move forward with more confidence, see changes
more quickly, and experience hope as they grow in their relationship
with their child. This book is the practical guide you’ve been looking
for and puts into practice the heart-based approach the National Center
for Biblical Parenting is known for. This book contains 12 audio teach-
ing sessions from the authors and can be used alongside the book Moti-
vate Your Child: A Christian Parent’s Guide to Raising Kids Who Do
What They Need to Do Without Being Told.
Begins 9/27, Led by Kathy Presley
![Page 11: Trinitylife9 27 15edited](https://reader031.vdocuments.us/reader031/viewer/2022020521/57906f3e1a28ab687497f2ec/html5/thumbnails/11.jpg)
September 27, 2015
TEC FALL 2015—SUNDAYS 5:00 p.m continued
Becoming God’s True Woman — Fellowship Hall 2 & 3
The feminist revolution was supposed to bring women greater fulfillment and
freedom, but today they feel anything but fulfilled and free because they have
lost the distinctiveness and richness of their calling as women. A movement is
spreading seeds of hope, humility, obedience, and prayer, and its truth will re-
sound in the hearts of readers through the powerful messages of Nancy Leigh
DeMoss, Susan Hunt, Mary Kassian, Carolyn Mahaney, Barbara Hughes, P.
Bunny Wilson, and Dorothy Patterson. Though each author approaches the sub-
ject of godly womanhood differently, a thread runs throughout that will instill
joy and delight at the greatness of God’s created order and the part He wants
women to play in His grand, redemptive plan.
Begins 9/27, facilitated by Emily Winkle and Kara Polk
Discovering Spiritual Leadership 401 — Room 115
Throughout our lives, God will place all of us in positions to lead others and to
follow leaders, so it is important to know what the Bible teaches about leader-
ship. This class will teach the principles of biblical leadership and how to apply
them to all areas of life.
Dates — 10/11, 10/18, 11/1, 11/8, led by Ronnie Rogers
Youth TEC — Youth Room (3rd floor)
Who is Jesus, Really? is a ten-lesson DVD for teens and college students focus-
ing on the evidence for Jesus Himself. Hosted and taught by Del Tackett, from
Focus on the Family’s The Truth Project, it will give students the confidence to
speak about their faith, and to defend the existence and identity of Christ. It fea-
tures strong historical evidence by demonstrating the validity of the key figures
involved in Jesus’ trial and crucifixion, and a compelling argument for His divin-
ity. The lessons delve into topics like Jesus’ birth, life, death, and resurrection;
and questions like, “Is Jesus the only way to God?” This volume also features
other key experts like Lee Strobel, Michael Farris, Gary Habermas, Louis
Lapides, and Greg Koukl. It’s sure to provide students with Biblical facts and
evidence that corroborate Jesus’ life and divinity, and to equip them to stand
strong in their faith when the tough questions come at them.
Begins 9/27, facilitated by Tristan Martin
The Armor of God (P. Shirer DVD study for women) — room 116
Every day, an invisible war rages around you—unseen, unheard, yet felt
throughout every aspect of your life. A devoted enemy seeks to wreak havoc on
everything that matters to you; your heart, mind, marriage, children, relation-
ships, resilience, dreams, and destiny. But his battle plan depends on catching
you unaware and unarmed. If you’re tired of being pushed around and caught
with your guard down, this study is for you. The enemy always fails miserably
when he meets a woman dressed for the occasion. The Armor of God, more than
merely a biblical description of the believer's inventory, is an action plan for put-
ting it on and developing a personalized strategy to secure victory.
Begins 9/27, facilitated by Nancy Peavler
![Page 12: Trinitylife9 27 15edited](https://reader031.vdocuments.us/reader031/viewer/2022020521/57906f3e1a28ab687497f2ec/html5/thumbnails/12.jpg)

Book Recommendation
Onward: Engaging the Culture Without Losing the Gospel
by Russell Moore
As the culture changes all around us, it is no longer possible to pretend
that we are a Moral Majority. That may be bad news for America, but it
can be good news for the church. What's needed now, in shifting times,
is neither a doubling-down on the status quo nor a pullback into isola-
tion. Instead, we need a church that speaks to social and political issues
with a bigger vision in mind: that of the gospel of Jesus Christ. As
Christianity seems increasingly strange, and even subversive, to our
culture, we have the opportunity to reclaim the freakishness of the
gospel, which is what gives it its power in the first place.
We seek the kingdom of God before everything else. We connect that
kingdom agenda to the culture around us, both by speaking it to the
world and by showing it in our churches. As we do so, we remember
our mission to oppose demons, not to demonize opponents. As we advo-
cate for human dignity, for religious liberty, for family stability, let's do
so as those with a prophetic word that turns everything upside down.
The signs of the times tell us we are in for days our parents and grand-
parents never knew. But that's no call for panic or surrender or outrage.
Jesus is alive! Let's act like it. Let's follow Him. Onward to the future!
