The weather outside is cold, wet and damn right mis-erable. So what better excuse do you need to buy some new clothes? Go on…treat yourself! Trinity Leeds has saved you the trouble searching for new ideas this winter. We’ve picked out top styles from our retailers to bring you something fresh, stylish and warm.

Our first outfit is a khaki coloured dress from River Island. This amazing piece is available for only £15. So not only will you look amazing but also it’s also cheap! With its long sleeves and stylish cut it means you’ll be turning heads the next time you’re out and about.

The tights that accompany our outfits are sleek, black and versitile. They are available from Marks and Spencer. Not only that but currently they’re on of-fer at 3 for £12. Bargain! Definitely worth the invest-ment to keep those winter chills off your legs.

The second outfit that our team at Trinity Leeds has put together is a nice little number. It’s 80’s in-spired. We’ve put together a sleeveless, black, turtle neck jumper and white leather skirt which is perfect if you’re planning on hitting a few of the bars at

Trinity Leeds, such as The Botanist or Angelica. These items are available from River Island and H&M.

Moving on we’ve found a great outfit pieced from a combination of items bought from New Look and Top Shop. We’ve got a stunning cream coloured cami top with lace detailing. The skirt is made of velvet and flows amazingly. This can be warn casually or you can throw on a pair of heels and you’re ready to hit the town!

Last but not least we’ve chosen something a lit-tle more casual. A Long sleeved navy jumper with a beautifully laced collar. It’s available from Dorothy Perkins. This goes great with the white leather skirt we’ve seen earlier from H&M. You could wear this to work and be the most fashionable person there!

There are loads we could show you, but it’s always fun to have a rummage through the clothing racks and choose your own style, we’ve just given you a few view ideas.

CabanaLaunchNovember 22nd 2014 saw the launch our newest restaurant, Cabana.

Cabana is a new Brazilian Barbeque restaurant offering a wide range of delicious Brazilian food. They have items on the menu, which include; Spicy Malagueta Chicken wings, cov-ered in a hot and spicy Malagueta Sauce; Tasty Lamb Skewers, which have been marinated in chilli and cumin and Brasilian overload, which is caramel choc chip and white choco-late alongside “cupaçu” icecream ac-companied with “Brigadeiro” truffles and coated in a “doce de leite” cara-mel sauce. It really does taste amaz-ing, and we at Trinity Leeds highly

recommend you go down there and experience what Cabana has to offer.

To celebrate the official opening of Cabana we delighted our shoppers with a fantastic afternoon filled with music and dancing. We had a special Samba band playing amazing mu-sic, which was enjoyed by everyone. We also had Samba dancers who entertained the public, showing us some eccentric Brazilian dancing.

It was a fantastic event and some of our younger shoppers even joined!

June 2014 was the year the world focused on Yorkshire for the Tour De France. A glo-rious cycling event which was embraced by everyone with open arms. To celebrate the diversity that Leeds and Yorkshire had to offer, Leeds West Indian Carnival host-ed a ‘Pop p’ carnival parade. Thirty special costumes were designed by a unique collaboration of some of the UK’s most renowned Carni-val costume designers who are also based in Leeds. The theme of the costumes was

Peace, Love and Unity. The Leeds West Indian Carni-val was first founded in Leeds in 1967 by Arthur France as a remedy for his homesickness for his native St Kitts & Ne-vis. Leeds West Indian Carni-val is Europe’s longest running Caribbean Carnival parade. The pop up carnival enter-tained our shoppers with car-ibbean music and dance while also giving photo opportunities for those who wanted to get in-volved with the carnival spirit!

August 2014 saw Leeds Rhinos bring

the Challenge Cup to Trinity Leeds!

Leeds Rhinos won 23-10 against

rivals Castleford Tigers winning

the Challenging cup. The two rival

teams played against each oth-

er at Wembley In front of a mas-

sive 77,914 all yorkshire crowd.

We gave away tickets to go see

Leeds Rhinos at Wembley to 24

lucky shoppers.

There was also a chance to take

a picture with the Challenge cup,

Ronnie the Rhino, the Leeds Rhinos

Cheerleaders and also members

of the Leeds Rhinos Rugby team!

There was also free Leeds Rhinos

memorabilia handed out to shop-

pers. It was great to see so many

fans come and support their local

team!

3rd October 2014 was Leeds Light Night!

Leeds Light Night has been running

every year for the past 10 years. It’s a

time when Museums, galleries, theat-

ers, open spaces and this year…. Trini-

ty Leeds opens its doors to the public.

Showcasing a variety of events that are

suitable of all ages. These include, light

installations, street theatre, music, per-

formances, film, dance, circus, exhibi-

tions and an array of other activities!

This year Trinity Leeds hosted three

different events. Cloud collectors Ap-

prentice’s was hosted by Monseignour

Heironimus Asquith Charterblouse

Von-Struble of Minkwertle, who unbot-

tled his collection of rare cloud dragons

and shared his stories of good versus evil.

We also had Yorkshire first Squishy

Sculpture Park! Which was a number

of fabric sculptures inspired by art-

ists such as, Henry Moore and Barbara

Hepworth. They were created by the

artist, Nick Kidd, who aimed to take a

contemporary approach to his work.

ZOMBIES! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES

Light Night 2014 saw a horde of zom-

bies enter Trinity Kitchen indulging in

banquet of street food, pizza, sushi,

milkshakes, burgers and fizzy drinks.

However these zombies were never

full, constantly on the search for some-

thing new to eat! The zombies were

playful, funny and messy creatures

entertaining the large audience that

flocked to Trinity Kitchen to see them.

The showcase was a physical and visual

performance directed by Jenny Lawson.

We at Trinity Leeds cant wait to bring

something new and exciting next year!

Leeds Light Night

The Royal British Legion is the UK’s leading Armed Forces

charity and here at Trinity Leeds we were lucky enough

to host the launch of the 2014 Poppy Appeal for the

Leeds District.

The launch saw the Lord Mayor of Leeds and other guest

speakers officially start the poppy appeal. Sir Harry Gra-

tion who is a news anchor on BBC Look North hosted the

event.

The poppy appeal also saw seven-year-old Jeese Gordon

receive the first poppy. The seven-year-old was invited by

the Royal British Legion to participate in the ceremony

at Trinity Leeds, as a tribute to his family’s long-standing

support of the ex-servicemen and women’s charity.

The Poppy Appeal also saw numerous stalls placed

around the centre for the following weeks, allowing the

visitors of Trinity Leeds to purchase poppies and badges

to support the fundraising efforts of the charity.

Overall, Leeds as a whole managed to raise an amazing

£384,407.33 which was more than last year’s final total

of £334,669.53.

Trinity Leeds is extremely proud of what the charity

achieved and we were happy to be a part of it!

Poppy Appeal

It’s been two years since Union J went

from talented unknowns to overnight sen-

sations on the 2012 series of The X Factor.

Hamblett and Jaymi Hensley are ready

to take on the charts again but first

they made a pit stop at Trinity Leeds!

Boots, at Trinity Leeds, were lucky

enough to be graced with the pres-

ence of Union J when launching their

new fragrance called “Amaze Me”.

Hundreds of young, screaming teen-

age girls queued for hours to meet the

band. The band were signing T-shirts,

mobile phones as well as anything else

the exited fans could throw at them

and… of course their new fragrance.

Union J have also sold out an 18 date

tour, while also releasing two books, a

successful merchandise range which in-

clude dolls, stationary and jewellery.

It was a great atmosphere and a fantastic

Everyday Wonder that is provided to the

visitors of Trinity Leeds Shopping Centre.
