Catholic Kids Camp - July 27 - 31 Heavenly Clues Detective Camp - Christ in the Church: Priest, Prophet, King

The Church’s life as founded by Christ expresses itself in the threefold offices (duties) of priest, prophet, and king.

While Christ himself is all three, among the Church each office is practiced by the Christian and works together in

harmony. The priests are the clergy who guide and nourish the Church. The prophets are the religious monks and fri-

ars, sisters and nuns, who seek to live the life of heaven in this world. And the kings are the laity who build, spiritually

and bodily, the Church in the world. Each day will be devoted to exploring an office as a vocation in the Church, and

especially how Christ embodies the perfection of each state.

The cost of the program for the week is as follows:

$75 for one child

$105 for two children

$160 for three or more children

Lunch is not included. Campers must bring a sack lunch if they are staying for the afternoon programs. Scholarships

are available. For more information contact Catalina Brand at [email protected].

Register Online at: https://olwcatholic.org/catholic-kids-camp-1. Make checks payable to Our Lady of Walsing-ham with CKC in Memo Line. Mail payment to: Cathedral of Our Lady of Walsingham Attn: Catholic Kids Camp Coordina-tor 7809 Shadyvilla Ln. Houston TX, 77055. Camp fees can also be paid on-line when registering.

CCD Registration is Open for the 2020 - 2021 School Year

The CCD Sunday School program offers students an opportunity to gain a better under-standing of their Catholic faith and traditions. The goal of each class is to go beyond mere content knowledge. Rather, inspired by Our Lady, we seek to ponder these mysteries in our hearts, and so come to a deeper and richer encounter with our Lord and his Church. Clas-ses meet on Sundays 9:45 - 10:45 am in Seton Hall and Newman Hall from September through May.

The cost of the program for the academic year is as follows:

$75 for one child $105 for two children

$160 for three or more children

Scholarships are available. Please contact Tim Caruthers, CCD Director at 713-683-9407 or [email protected] . Send check payments with CCD in the memo line to: Cathedral of Our Lady of Walsingham Attn: CCD Director 7809 Shadyvilla Ln Houston Tx 77055. CCD fees can also be paid on line when registering.

We have a need for volunteers to be a part of a new Ministry, Seminarian Suppers. This

would be preparing food for a Sunday according to a schedule given that would be dropped

off at the seminarians house by 4:00 PM. If you are interested in being a part of this ministry

please contact Lynn Forrester at 714-757-2769 or [email protected], or contact Danny

Pitocco’. [email protected].

Support Our Seminarians June 13 & 14 As an Ordinariate family, we are called to support the formation of our seminarians. Next week-end, you will have an opportunity to help these men on their path towards becoming holy, faithful priests for the Ordinariate. On June 13 and 14, Our Lady of Walsingham parish will host a

collection for the Seminary Formation Fund, which supports the education of the semi-narians preparing for priesthood in the Ordinariate. Please take the donation envelope pro-vided in the bulletin home and prayerfully consider contributing a gift next weekend. Gifts will be taken up at Mass or you may mail your gift directly to the Ordinariate Chancery using the pre-addressed envelope. To give online, visit https://ordinariate.net/give-to-sff. Thank you for your support of the seminarians who have so generously responded to the call to serve the Lord, the Church and all of us.
