Our colleague Aju Thomas was part of the team which worked on theconsulting assignment for preparing the concept plan and demandassessment and preparation of Project Proposal for ITIR.

This proposal was submitted by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh to the centralgovernment for approval. This project was done by PwC as a leadconsultant.

ITIR is an upcoming IT investment region jointly being developed byGovt. of India and Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.

The ITIR is recommended to be a self-contained development ofintegrated knowledge clusters for growth of IT and electronic hardwaremanufacturing in 50,000 acres in and around Hyderabad. The projectwhich is modelled along the lines of Shenzhen SEZ in China, is aimed atattracting an investment of Rs 2.19 trillion ($44 billion) in the IT, ITESand electronics sectors and providing direct employment to 1.5 millionpeople.

This project will change the face of Hyderabad in years to come.
