Decision Making Procedure

Highest All members will support and advocate for the decision

Agreement w/Reservations

High All members will support the decision, those who have reservations will have them recorded.

Agreement byAcquiescence

Moderate All members support the decision, abstain, or are opposed but are willing to allow the collaborative effort to move forward, and will not undercut the group’s agreement. Those who abstained or are opposed will have their reasons recorded.

No Clear Agreement Unknown There is not clear agreement, and there is recognition that this is not the desired end point. Those who are in disagreement will have their reasons recorded. A process and timeframe will be specified for addressing concerns, if that timeframe has ended and there is no agreement, the nature of that disagreement will be recorded.

Vote Support Level Member commitmentConsensus w/o Reservation(All members vote for approval)

High No members will support outside challenges. All members will express support for the project and work to resolve any issues raised later by non-collaborative entities.

Consensus w/ Reservation(All members vote for approval but some have reservations recorded)

Medium No members will support outside challenges. Members who had reservations recorded may express those reservations.

No Consensus, majority-vote approval (Some members have such strong reservations that they vote against approval; reasons are recorded in minutes)

Low Members reserve right to appeal decision and support outside challenges. Members who voted against approval reserve the right to express their reasons for voting against approval.

Majority vote disapproval

None Collaborative does not support the project and recommends dropping the proposal. All members reserve the right to express their reasons for voting.

O The Trinity Collaborative will act as an advisory group to the Trinity County Board of Supervisors.

advisors.
