AdmissionTCS offers rolling admission and midyear enrollment for students in the lower school. Recognizing the great diversity in educational programs offered all applicants are assessed to evaluate readiness for the program at Trinity Christian School.

HistorySince its founding in 1987, Trinity Christian School of Fairfax has served as an intentionally distinctive school for families in NorthernVirginia who seek a Christian education for their children. As an independent Christian school, Trinity has remained steadfast in its commitment to the pursuit of excellence for mind and heart. Faith and learning are integrated throughout all aspects of the academic and co-curricular program in order to pursue truth, character, and service in the lives of our students.

By 1997 the student body had grown from 41 students on a single campus at Truro to 300 students in grades 1-10 on four separate campuses. 1997 was also the year that God provided, through the generous giving of faithful individuals, the 25-acre site on which the Trinity campus now resides.

The Learning Assistance and Institutional Resources center or Gryphon’s LAIR—opened September 2014. In addition to housing the offices of the College Advisors, the Registrar, Chaplain, Dean of Students and Student Advisor, the LAIR provides both a writing lab and a math lab staffed by English and math teachers during each period of the school day. The Gryphon’s LAIR will also be available for extended-day tutoring on a fee basis for students who need more in-depth assistance over an extended period of time.

Today 679 students walk the hallways at TCS. Current space will allow the student body to grow to 750 students.

GovernanceTrinity Christian School is governed by an independent, self-perpetuating Board of Trustees. Trinity has been blessed throughout its history with trustees who are well-qualified both professionally and spiritually to provide leadership as the school has grown and become established.

ChapelAll students at TCS participate in chapel. The theme for this school year is Unashamed. Students will focus on the book of Romans throughout the 2014-2015 year. Through song, led by student musicians, the reading of God’s Word, and messages presented by various speakers, students and faculty will consider the call to walk and live unashamed as

God’s redeemed people.

Community ServiceTCS is dedicated to developing in students a

commitment to service. To that end, all upper school students complete 40 hours of

community service each year. Students may serve in a variety of ways on

campus—such as assisting with carpool, athletics, or new student

welcome events—or off campus in the community or through a

student’s church.

School Hours

School is in session from 8:10 a.m. until 3:15 p.m. and after care is

provided until 6:00 p.m. On Wednesdays Kindergarten students are dismissed at 12:15 p.m.

“Knowledge without character is like a ship without a course, capable of anything but driven toward nothing. The focusing of our knowledge on those causes that are both right and moral in the eyes of God, the transforming of the knowledge of good into good intentions, the desire to see what we have learned to be good and righteous become reality, the outward expression of our ability to live the fullness of life as we have been created in the image of God – this is character.“

Nick FreilingClass of 2009

“Service is more than working in a soup kitchen or volunteering at a kid’s camp- it’s a daily habit of thinking of others before ourselves. Jesus says that the greatest among you will be the servant of all. Remember, we are not saved by serving, but rather we are saved for serving”

Cason Smith Class of 2012

“It amazes me that I can send my son where he will learn about Jesus, attend chapel, and be spiritually encouraged. I wonder why Trinity does not have 5,000 or even 50,000 or even 500,000 students.”
