Welcome to
Trinity School o Natural Health was ounded by Dr. Wendell Whitman in l991 to oer proessional programs o study in the
natural health eld leading to non-traditional designations or degrees. Up until that time, very ew educational institutions
made home study courses available. Dr. Whitman saw the need or this valuable inormation to reach the public so he created
an aordable and available way or people to learnhe ounded Trinity School o Natural Health. The courses o study
were specically designed to integrate the total person in mind, body and spirit; each course building on the next to create
a complete and healthy liestyle. Today Trinity provides a solid education or students to establish their own proessionalpractice and bring much needed healthy alternatives to their communities.
Let me introduce mysel. Im Julie Whitman Kline, Dr. Whitmans daughter. For 20 years I worked alongside my Dad in his
many business ventures and causes. To this day, I eel his re and sense o duty as we continue the vision and adapt to the
changing landscape o health care in this country. Since my athers passing, Ive become immersed in all the businesses,
including Trinity. One thing I know or sure is that people are continually looking or ways to have a happier, healthier and
more meaningul lie. Trinity School o Natural Health has careully tailored programs o study designed to meet that need.
To think that were back to where we started hundreds o years ago in natural health education is amazing. These are exciting
times we are living in; more and more people are becoming receptive to alternative health. Many o our students are serious
about sharing their knowledge with others. Today some o our graduates are published authors and are on the lecture circuit.
Thomas Edison said, The doctor o the uture will give no medicine, but will interest his patient in the care o the human rame,in diet and in the cause and prevention o disease.
We invite you to join us on a journey o education and enrichment and welcome you to the Trinity School o Natural Health amily.

Health STUDIES
The word doctor comes rom the Latin word docere meaning to teach. Naturopaths teach natural ways to enhance
good health, optimal wellness and encourage longevity. The Naturopathic approach is holistic and ocuses on maintaining
wellness with an emphasis on disease prevention.
We emphasize creating a liestyle which includes pure water, clean air, wholesome ood, proper diet and nutrition, exercise,
proper living, appropriate rest, right thinking, absence rom toxic substances, body ecology, eective management o stress
and a number o other natural pract ices which lead to the balanced living concept. Only those who agree with this philosophy
should apply to Trinity School o Natural Health. We believe that physical health is primarily a refection o Gods universal law
o cause and eect. How we care or our bodies is both a physical and spiritual issue that impacts our health and the health
o our ospring. In cases where health principles have been violated, the only true cure is or the body to restore its own
protective mechanisms by removing those physical and spiritual roadblocks that hinder restoration and/or healing. Course
studies in Naturopathy teach practices that build immunity, improve mental health and enhance overall body unctions.
Trinity School o Natural Health o ers training that is to be used or an individuals own personal development. With discretion,
an individual may be able to use this knowledge to educate others.
Christian Ministry STUDIES
We believe the Bible to be a great source o teaching and the nal authority on spiritual matters. For these reasons, we
emphasize the knowledge ound in the Scriptures to create a spiritual oundation. Because o the inherent spiritual nature
within each o us, theres a need to be spiritually grounded and knowledgeable when analyzing any health issue, whether
it be physical, emotional or spiritual. Trinity School o Natural Health oers training that is to be used or an individuals own
personal development. With discretion, an individual may be able to use this knowledge to educate others.

Classical Naturopathy
A classical Naturopath specializes in wellness. That is to say teaching clients how
applying natural liestyle approaches can act to acilitate the bodys healing and
health building potential. The classical Naturopath does not undertake to diagnose ortreat disease but recognizes that the majority o sub-health conditions are cumulative
eects. Also, the underlying cause o disease is improper diet, unhealthy habits and
environmental actors that cause biological imbalances leading to a weakening o
the bodys deenses and subsequent breakdown in health. The practice o classical
Naturopathy is not considered the practice o medicine and is legal in all 50 states;
however, some states have made Naturopathy illegal unless licensed. This is
because legislature is grouping classical Naturopaths with Naturopathic physicians.
Naturopathic physicians have a 4-year degree that includes pharmacology and minor
surgery, which should require a license.
The practice o classical Naturopathy is recognized as a common occupation at the
ederal level (U. S. Congress 1928, 1929, 1930 and 30 Federal Court rulings between 1958
and 1978) and in such a proession is protected under the 9th and 14th Amendmentso the U. S. Constitution. Several states have also made this stipulation either by statute
or in the Courts.
What medical doctors call diseases are only symptoms o a greater underlying problem.
Disease is nothing more than a maniestation o our body trying to correct imbalances.
Imbalances due to aulty nutritional patterns, improper rest, stress management and
other liestyle considerations, which over time, result in a weakening o the body. By the
time disease appears on the scene it is very late in the game.
Our body tells us early on when there is a problem and we can either respond to
this message or try to suppress the symptoms that the body uses to tell us there is
a problem. You can take ibuproen or other drugs to suppress the symptoms and
they will help or a short time. However, unless the underlying problem is corrected, eventually the symptoms will no longer be helped by these drugs and one will need
to take stronger and stronger drugs to quiet the bodys message. I the underlying
problem has not been addressed, the body will begin to break down structurally. At this
time modern medicine is nally capable o diagnosing that something is really wrong
and oer interventions to x the structure, but still medical doctors ail to address the
underlying problem.
Naturopathy concentrates on identiying destructive aspects in liestyles that lead
to imbalances. Beore symptoms maniest and long beore a diagnosis can be
rendered, these destructive aspects o our liestyle can be identied and corrected.
Once corrected, the body automatically corrects itsel. Diagnosing disease and illness
is totally unnecessary to correcting the underlying problems that result in disease
and illness. A true healer does not waste his time concentrating on naming diseasesbut rather on identiying those underlying actors that i not addressed result in the
maniestation o disease and illness. These actors can be identied and corrected
long beore it is even possible to make any diagnosis. Even ater a diagnosis is made
the same concepts o healing used by classical Naturopaths are equally eective
because once balance is restored the body automatically heals itsel.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the value o a certifcate?
A certicate demonstrates to the public that you have been
trained in the science and practice o natural health. It also
signies that you have passed the appropriate exams required
or the certicate. Youll obtain knowledge o alternative natural
health, which hopeully will serve you well as you seek to helpothers in achieving and maintaining good health. However, as
in any program or endeavor, you will get out o the program
what you put in.
What will I be able to do with this type o education? Can I
prescribe, diagnose or perorm surgeries?
Prescribing, diagnosing and perorming surgeries is generally
a part o the practice o medicine and it would be a violation o
state medical practice laws or anyone to prescribe, diagnose or
perorm surgeries without holding the appropriate state license.
A ederal drug license is also needed to prescribe drugs legally.
Naturopaths do not prescribe or advocate the use o drugs.
Typically, Naturopaths are reerred to as drugless doctors. Atraditional naturopathic education does not include training in
surgery.
Does your school have a license or accreditation?
Trinity School is accredited and recognized by the American
Naturopathic Medical Accreditation Board (ANMAB) in Las Vegas,
Nevada (www.anmab.org). We have not, nor do we plan to seek
accreditation through the U.S. Department o Education.
I am interested in your school, but I am wondering how your
school compares with others.
We believe that we have the best direct education program
available in Naturopathy. We have ve comprehensive programscomposed o a variety o well-designed Naturopathic courses.
Our students constantly call us to tell us how excited they are
over the course materials. We use the best texts available. We
have student service representatives available to assist you with
any problem you may encounter. Youll be pleased to know that
we are generally $1000 less than any other sel-study, direct
education program oered in this eld. We oer two o the ve
programs in Spanish. For urther inormation please call 1-800-
979-2393.
How does Trinity compare with on-campus programs?
Our sel-study approach means that you can study at your own
pace, without leaving your home and moving to a campussite. Price is another consideration. Campus programs require
tuition large enough to pay or buildings, dormitories, dining
acilities, gyms and other acilities that have nothing to do with
Naturopathy. On campus programs cost $50,000 to $60,000
more than Trinity School o Natural Health.
What are the requirements to enroll? Do I need a Bachelors
or a Masters degree?
You do not need a Bachelors or a Masters degree to enroll. We
require the minimum o a high school diploma or GED to enroll
in any program we oer.
When can I enroll?
We have open enrollment. You can enroll whenever you are
ready to begin the program.
Do you oer any o your programs in a classroom-type
setting? Our programs are done only rom your home or through
the mail. We do not oer a classroom-type setting. I you
are interested in a classroom-type setting, you may want to
consider seminars that are oered through Certied Natural
Health Proessionals, Inc. (www.CNHP.org). They oer natural
health seminars that you can attend. Please check their website
or more inormation.
What do the hours mean that are listed beside each
course?
The hours listed there are an estimated amount o study hours
that you could plan on spending in each course. These are not
traditional credit hours because we do not go by traditionalcredit hours.
I have taken classes rom other schools. Can I have classes
waived in this program?
You can submit copies o transcripts or review. Any study you
have already completed will be o help to you in your course
o study. Since Trinity School o Natural Health is committed to
graduating the nest trained Naturopaths, we do not give credit
or studies completed unless accompanied by a transcript and
a course description. Trinity School o Natural Health is very
selective in the credit that we issue. We can waive a maximum
o three courses (depending on the program you choose). I
courses are waived, monetary credit could be given towardstuition. CNHP seminars will not waive individual classes in our
programs.
I I complete your programs, are the courses Ive taken
transerable to another school or organization?
Each school sets its own policy on accepting credits rom other
institutions. We cannot guarantee that other schools will oer
comparable courses and give credit or work completed at
Trinity School o Natural Health. However, we will urnish you
with an ocial transcript and course description or you to use.
When my course work is done, is there a fnal exam? What
about an internship? There is no nal exam through Trinity School o Natural Health.
You would, however, be prepared through our course o study
to pass the ANMA national naturopathic exam. This exam is
oered to graduating students o schools accredited by the
Council on Naturopathic Registration and Accreditation. Trinity
School o Natural Health is such a school. For more inormation
on the test, please visit eit
