For those thinking of going toAlan Wrights classic off road showat Telford on the 22nd February. Ifthere is enough interest the club iswilling to organise a coach, leavingColchester about 6:15am, cost tobe confirmed. Just let Ted knowyou’re interested sooner ratherthan later and if there’s enoughpeople to make it viable you couldsave yourself a drive up there andback.

At the risk of upsetting thoseprecious of people - observers -please do not alter your sectionwithout first seeking the approval

of the Clerk of the Course. We’vehad a couple of occurrences of thishappening recently with the natureof the section being changedbeyond that set out by theorganisers after several riders havepassed through adversely affectingtheir score compared to ridersfollowing them.

A thank you to EFA members. Itseems that the message about thecorrect money or a cheque has gotthrough. At a recent trial only oneperson paid with a £20 note andwanted an entry form. But on a notso good note a third of the entrystill wanted an entry form. They’reprinted in T&T for a reason, pleaseuse them, you know it makes sense.

Dear All,

With much help from my colleagues, I have enjoyed running Mid An-glia MCC for approximately 20 years. I now feel it is the time for meto stand down and therefore the practise event on the 14th Decem-ber was the last one that I organised.

I am pleased to say that Gary Eaves and Steve Webb have agreed totake on the responsibility and will run the event scheduled for the18th January 2014 and those thereafter.

I would like to say how much I have enjoyed organising the manytrials and practise sessions during my tenure, and thank all of youfor your support and encouragement I hope that you continue toenjoy the sport and that you will give the same degree of support toGary and Steve.

The club 'team' ,under leadershipof Don Daley mounted a stand

at Kempton Park off-road show topromote 'the' club. Six bikes wereexhibited by John& DonDaley,Dave Field,Gary Eaves&Chris Cook all were kept busy mostof the day talking bikes / club ac-tivities. During 'rest 'periods thejumble was perused and much at-tention to other club stands sport-ing historic machinery,I thoroughlyenjoyed ambles down nostalgiclane occasionally spying a bike I'dnot seen before. There certainlywas some technically brilliant pro-duced by clever enthusiastic crafts-men across generations and thiswas appreciated by a very largepopulace( not necessarily in sizebut numbers). Judge Mike Jack-son showed appreciation of Gary'seffort by awarding him theautosolvol trophy, Oops !Sorry no ! best in class (tri-als bikes),Mike explainedhis reasonings for his selec-tion and in conversationwith Gary exclaimed youmust have a extensive work-shop, reply ; a two foot longlathe,Drill ,hacksaw & files!We didn't figure in beststand class ,this went toSpeedway supporters ,welldeserved! Raydon practicesaw 20 bods honing skillsand fine tuning machinery

,this was the last practiceunder Mike Harden's effi-cient jurisdiction ,since Feb.1993when he iniated The Mid-anglia

club(AMCA) he has overseen 225events (trials/practice sessions)and the gent needs a rest . GaryEaves /Stephen Webb are to carryon with this invaluable facility.

Boxford Bash lived to its name,attack being name of the game

after weather prior to primed thesurface and more,however Markwas equall to it and under the keeneye of no.1 son must have beenreally sore with last section last lapscore ,great ride Mark! John? Wil-liams at t'other end of spectrumalso had a right good one,so thecourse plotters got it right againwell done,very well done Phil Smithand 'team' sorry I'm not aware ofwho else had input. Graham Bray-brook continues on form DaveSpurgeon had ear to ear grin most

of the day very pleased with pur-chase of John Kendall Ariel 'Arrow'.
