Saturday at 10:30 a.m., there will be an educational DVD documentary for all ages in the taberna- cle with cider and donuts provided. In the afternoon, there is going to be a cookout and cover dish picnic at 2:00 p.m. in the pavillion. The camp is providing hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, some drinks and condiments. This year’s event features our 3rd Annual Crock-Pot Cook-off with first, second and third place prizes being awarded to those entries receiving the most votes by ballot. Keepsake photos complete with a photo folder will also be taken during the picnic for $5. In addition, there will be a cornhole contest, as well, for the adults. Volleyball and basketball games are also being offered. A classic comedy movie, The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, starring Don Knotts is also being shown in the tabernacle at 4:00 p.m. In this movie, which is fun for the whole family, Knotts plays Luther Heggs, a newspaper typesetter who spends a night in a supposedly haunted house in order to write a story about it with hopes of elevating his position at the paper. Weather permitting there also will be a bonfire following the Saturday evening service. People are encouraged to bring additional seating or blankets. Cider and donuts will also be provided Sunday morning at camp.
