The total number of newly enrolled freshmen has been increasing for years in UCLA. But in the meantime, we see decrease in the budget used for recreation facility. It is important for gyms especially in budget limit to come up with solutions to improve the efficiency on the usage of equipment.
TRENDS
According to the statistics of average waiting time at UCLA John Wooden Center, the time people spend on waiting for gym equipment is not evenly distributed all over the day. At specific point people tend to wait longer than common period, while at other points there's no need for waiting.

Traditional Whiteboard, which tracks the l ines to use al l equipment, is still used in UCLA gyms. In the meantime, UCLA students are waiting for changes with advanced technology for better user experience of gym.
