Treatment Sheet of the opening sequence of Savannah

Props needed: fake scars and scratches for when the people ‘Transform’ a glass bottle or some other weapon will be needed to be found when savannah discovers Rae’s corpse and she will need a mobile phone to try and call for help on.

Running time:

roughly 3 minutes.

Costumes needed:White Nightie for savannah as a patientNurses outfit for Rebecca the nurseAnd regular clothes for Rae and Savannah in the flashback.

Location: for the first part of the opening sequence we will be recording in the studio at Hartlepool Sixth Form College which will be designed to look like a psychiatric hospital insane patients.

The rest of the opening will be filmed around the woods in the bishop Cuthbert area because it will be a secluded area and will hopefully be without distractions we will be filming during the day but we will edit the shots to be darker to make it look like night because it would easier to record in the light rather than at night.

Opening sequence:The opening sequence will start with a shot of Savannah dressed in some sort of white dress with her arms restrained her hair will look slightly wild as if she has been shaking her head a lot we will have some close ups of her face and body while she is shaking slightly and mumbling as if she is afraid and slightly crazy then we will hear a door open and close and savannah will gasp and start to flail around while screaming she will the begin to get dragged out and she will start to have a nose bleed and convulse and

we will fade to black signifying that she has passed out

We will then start with a close up of Savannahs face with a bloody nose and she will wake-up and begin to try to figure out where she is while she is trying to find out where she is, she will find her friend covered in blood who is meant to be dead and savannah will now try to find help without knowing that she is the one who has killed her so while she is running we will keep seeing Rae following her slowly almost as if she is haunting her because of what she did towards the end savannah will fall and look up and she will see Rae and rae will kneel down in front and say don’t you remember what you did Savannah?

Synopsis of the Movie:

After the opening sequence we will see a flashback of savannah murdering rae with the glass bottle and we see that savannah is mentally unstable because she sees rae as a mutant trying to kill her but she keeps going from regular rae to the mutant rae which is all in savannahs mind and because she is imagining she is being attacked and in self defence attacks back she then would start to get dizzy and have a nose bleed and sits up against the tree where she passes out the flashback ends and savannah wakes up and can no longer see the ghost of rae so she believes that it was a dream and starts to head home while she is walking home she can hear growling and rustling through the trees which frightens because she starts to realize that maybe it wasn’t a dream after all she then starts

to walk faster and turns a corner to find a homeless person begging but she starts to see him as a mutant aswell heading towards her so she begins to cower and flee but she falls over and the mutant catches her and begins to attack her she then reaches out and grabs a rock and hits the mutant over the head stunning him she then stands above him and repeatedly hits him until he is still she then looks at him and his face changes back to the homeless mans then back to the mutant so she runs away.

The next scene starts with savannah in her bed asleep we can see her moving around and muttering suggesting a bad dream we then go into the dream and see from savannahs point of view of her looking at her arms and hands and seeing them begin to transform into how she has seen all of the other mutants and she starts to scratch at her arms in an attempt to make it go away and we see that she is starting to draw blood in to some deep cuts we then leave the dream and see that while savannah is dreaming she has actually cut her arms while scratching.

Next she wakes up by the sound of an alarm suggesting maybe she has college to go to she then looks down and notices her arms and she also sees some blood on the top of her nightgrown she then feels her nose and realizes that she has had a nosebleed so she goes to the bathroom to clean she washes her arms and fills her hands with water to

clean her face when she takes her hands away from her face she sees her face covered in blood so she shrieks and grabs a towel to wipe her face she then looks at the towel and sees there is no blood whatsoever on the towel she then looks to the mirror and sees the ghost of rae she shrieks and turns around but rae is no where to be seen she then grabs her bag puts some folders and a spare pair of clothes into the bag and she hears someone shout hurry up savannah your going to be late so she goes downstairs and finds a bowl and some cereal set on the counter she then goes to the fridge and grabs a bottle of milk she then pours some milk onto the cereal picks up the bowl and goes to sit down she then looks at the bowl and sees maggots in the bowl she then shrieks and drops the bowl her sister then turns around and shout why on earth did you do that? Savannah looks towards her sister and sees her begin to transform she sees this and falls to the floor and starts to shuffle back as she does this she puts her hand onto a piece of the smashed bowl and picks it up her sister then says savannah are you ok and walk towards her but savannah keeps seeing her as a mutant and it switches to and from her sister walking normally to her sister walking as mutant her sister then crouches down and savannah stops seeing her as a mutant and she begins to calm down her sister then goes to hug her and say it’s ok but sees her arms and shous savannah what the hell have you done savannah looks up and sees the mutant trying to attack her she then screams and stabs the mutant with the piece of bowl into the chest her sister then fall back laying on the floor and savannah starts to cry and rock back and

forth with her arms wrapped around her knees the camera then fades to black and we see savannah asleep with her back against the cupboard and it is at night time she then wakes up and sees her sister dead on the floor she then gets a quick flashback of exactly what happened and she gasps and regains her composure she then removes the folders out of her bag and fills it with food and she grabs a gun and some bullets out of a draw she leaves the house as she closes the door she says I’m sorry and the door shuts obstructing our view of the corpse

We then see savannah walking around as the sky starts to get lighter she then sits against a tree in the woods gets the clothes out of her bag and uses them as a quilt she then looks out towards a park and starts to go to sleep we then go back to the house and a friend of savannahs sister knocks on the door and as she knocks the door opens so she pushes the door open completely and steps while shouting “Hannah are you home? “ she then walks into the kitchen to find Hannah’s body on the floor and she gasps and phones the police as she is on the phone she walks around the house looking for savannah and sees that she is not home the police arrive half an hour later to find the friend sat next to the body crying she then tells the police that she found her like this because the door was open so she let herself in and that savannah is no where to be found the police officer replies that they are going have to take her into questioning then they see the piece of the bowl ticking from Hannah’s chest and they see the smashed bowl of cereal and the police officer says that savannah might also be a

suspect and if she knows of any places they could find her the friend replies savannah couldn’t have done this not even to a stranger never mind her own sister and hands the officer a photo of herself Hannah and savannah and says “see they were happy together they never argued”. The camera goes into a close-up of savannahs face and the police officer gasps and says well she just happens to be a suspect for another murder that has happened where was this photograph taken the friend starts to cry and says no she couldn’t have and cries and then says it’s in ward Jackson park we used to go their every Sunday when we were younger.

The police then says “Thank you for your cooperation please stay here and if Savannah returns please call us immediately, ohh and what is your name?”.

She replies with “okay I will stay here and my name is Rebecca, Rebecca Hamilton”.

The officer then replies “thank you Rebecca try to stay safe and if Savannah returns call us immediately and try to avoid confrontation with her we don’t know how her mind set is right now and she could attack”.

The camera then zooms in on Rebecca’s face as a tear rolls down her cheek she then nods her head and closes the door and locks it behind the officer she then walks towards the window and peers around the curtain and when she sees that the police have drove off she phones for a taxi to take her to ward Jackson park.

The camera then cuts back to savannah who is waking up from her sleep and she begins to collect her stuff and she starts to hear police sirens so she panics and starts to run out of the park through the trees while she is running we start to hear voices in the distance saying I heard movement from over in that direction it could be her and savannah starts to run faster with tears streaming from her eyes and she drops her bag but keeps running once she leaves the park she sees a police and stops running until she sees it is empty and she then starts to walk past it slowly so that she doesn’t draw attention to herself while she is walking a taxi stops next to her and Rebecca emerges saying “Savannah get in im taking you home ( Savannah starts to shake her head ), Savannah I’m serious get in the car we need to talk”. Savannah then gets into the car the taxi turns around and heads back towards the house.

Back in the house Rebecca hands Savannah a cup of tea and sits down on the chair opposite her she then says “Savannah Hannah has been murdered and the police think it was you they also said that you were a suspect in another murder is this true Savannah?”

Using the shot reverse shot technique Savannah goes to say something but her breath keeps catching and she cant make out any words Rebecca then stands up from the table tears in her eyes and says “it’s true isn’t it why did you do it Savannah WHY ?” she then breaks down crying and Savannah replies with a stutter “because I had to, they were trying to kill me”.

Rebecca then shouts “Hannah would never try to hurt you know that she has done everything she could to make sure you were happy why on earth would she try to kill you!”

Savannah then shouts back “ I DON’T KNOW WHY! She just changed her face changed and she wasn’t Hannah anymore and she started attacking me and when I stabbed her she went back to normal (begins to cry ) The same thing happened with Rae and the other man”. She then breaks down into hysterics at the table and Rebecca crying says “Rae you killed rae as well savannah, I think you need help serious help”. and she starts to walk towards savannah but Savannah has stopped crying and she lifts her head up from the table and replies in a monotone with “Help I don’t need any help, im fine its everybody else who is crazy that’s why they keep trying to attack me, your one of them aren’t you Rebecca, I think it is you who needs help now”. and she runs to the cupboard and grabs a knife Rebecca startled begins to run up the stairs and savannah is chasing after she then slashes out and cuts the back of Rebecca’s leg Rebecca then kicks out and hits savannah in the face knocking her down the stairs and she runs and locks herself in the bathroom and calls the police officer saying “Shes back Savannah’s back and it was her who killed Hannah and the other’s I have locked myself in the bathroom but savannah has a knife and she is chasing me ( Savannah then starts banging on the wall ) Rebecca then screams and drops her phone.

The camera then cuts to the outside of the house and we see black cars around the outside of the house and the camera then zooms in through the open door to reveal police officers inside the house at the stairs walking up them, the camera follows them and turns the corner to see Savannah stood in the doorway with her back towards the police officers and we can see Rebecca cowering on the floor savannah then leaps towards her and gets tazered from behind she then falls to the floor a nose bleed starts to happen and her eyes close the police then pick her up handcuff her and carry her out of the house Rebecca then walks out aswell with the officer from earlier with a blanket wrapped around her underneath the officers arm.

The camera then fades to black and we see Savannah being strapped to a chair in the same outfit from the beginning to show that the flashback is over and she is giving an injection and her eyes close the credits would then start.
