STORY

Enter 2012 Hartlepool, a bustling city filled with

commerce and culture, a city filled with glitz and

glamour but no city is without crime but this city is

home to James White a detective working for

Hartlepool Homicide who’s business is keeping

serial killers off the streets and business is booming.

Now more than ever…

OPENING

Start-A jogger runs along a beach but notices something and then

screams.

A close up of a horrible scared body laying on a beach at dawn with a

low angle showing two men's legs as they discuss how they need to get

detective James White to help them.

Middle-The opening title’s of our film show the detective James White

getting ready to go to the crime scene with the title’s of the other

characters involved in the film. Elliptical editing will be used here to

cut down the process and it would also show that the character has

expertise.

OPENING 2

End-The end of our sequence would feature a tracking shot

following the main character as he walks towards the body

however in the foreground there is two other detectives

interviewing a jogger who is revealed to have been the one to

find the body, the camera then moves to the main character

talking to other detectives and a shot reverse shot is used as

well as an eyeline match to a lighter with a tally chart on it

which the main character will see and will allow them to make

some progress in the case.

SYNOPSIS

James White is a 32 year old veteran of the Hartlepool Homicide, he lives

in a one-room apartment after being divorced from his wife Linda who

lives with his two kids.

During his career as a forensic investigator James has seen some horrific

murders, witnessing some of the worst criminals in the history of the city

but he’s also

put a large number of those criminals behind bars.

The film starts with a jogger running along a beach and then it cuts to two

police officers looking at the body and talking about phoning the police

chief.

SYNOPSIS 2

After James White receives the phone call from the police chief, he

then rolls over to the other side of the bed and looks at a picture of

him with a woman and two kids he then pushes the picture down

and we then see him getting out of bed and getting changed while

he is getting ready to go to work.

We then see him getting out of a car and walking towards the crime

scene with 2 police officers interviewing the jogger and other police

officers looking at evidence around the crime scene. James White

then walks over to another police officer named Richard Pascal.

SYNOPSIS 3

James and Richard then discuss the crime scene and

Richard then tells James that this body has been the 4th one

like this in a month but James then notices a lighter among

the sand/grass and after picking it up he then turns to

Richard and asks him if it is the fourth and then shows him

the lighter which has 7 notches tallied onto the face.

Location-Aidan’s house, Headland beach OR Clavering field.

(Beach is preferred but if we are unable to film due to wind

then the field will suffice)

COSTUMES

For costumes we are using smart shirts for our characters

as it makes them look professional when they are at work.

LOCATION

We are filming in a house for the scene that we need a

bedroom for but the rest of our film we are either going to

use a beach or a field if the beach is too windy and we are

unable to get good sound quality.
