Dear Reader: It is my pleasure to present the third edition of our Winter 2007 catalog of featured Traveltainment products. The response to the last two issues has been beyond our expectations. We hope this edition will provide your group with even more great entertainment and travel ideas. Each section of the magazine is color coded to make it easier to select the types of Traveltainment activities that are most interesting to you. In addition to our standard theatre and tour products, we have added a new section to the magazine providing you with information on customized tours and activities for special occasions. For example, MLE is convinced that entertainment options for bachelor and bachelorette parties are in need of innovative and exciting options to replace the traditional restaurant and bar hopping events of the past. You will see in this section that we have greatly elevated the quality of Traveltainment choices, giving our customers a high class option to the ordinary. In addition to placing customized travel services in the catalog, we have expanded the Up-Coming Attractions Section to include an inventory of our packaged tours with seasonal recommendations. You will also see that JoAnn, MLE’s restaurant coordinator, has been busy over the past few months adding new and exciting restaurants to enrich your dining experience. Once again, I am pleased to offer this edition of the Winter 2007 magazine. As always, your comments and suggestions on how we may improve this publication are welcome, encouraged, and appreciated. Thank you, Bill Muraco

Join the band of swashbuckling buccaneers, bumbling British Bobbies, frolicsome Victorian maidens, and the delightfully dotty "model of a modern Major-General" for a rollicking romp over the rocky coast of Cornwall. The rich sounds of full orchestra, chorus, and exquisite vocal soloists resonate with classic elegance and power while the opera company's vibrancy, energy and contemporary sense of humor keep this timeless show alive and exciting. ($80 Macomb & Wharton per person weekdays. Prices subject to change without notification— price based on minimum groups size of 20. See restaurant section for dinner solutions.)

A heart-warming musical that opened on Broadway in 1963, with songs by Bock and Harnick (the songwriting team for Fiddler on the Roof). This intimate show is considered by many the most charming musical ever written and is perfectly suited for the Croswell’s new “Valentine’s Day" production. Georg and Amalia are two feuding clerks in a European parfumerie during the 1930s who secretly find solace in their anonymous romantic pen pals, little knowing their respective correspondents are none other than each other. She Loves Me is a warm romantic comedy with an endearing innocence and a touch of old world elegance and nostalgia, yet as universal and relevant as ever in this age of Internet romances. The Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan film “You’ve Got Mail” was based on this musical.($62 per person. Price subject to change without notification—price based on minimum group size of 20. The tale is set during the Spanish Inquisition and tells the romantic and noble journey of a knight who sets out to right all wrongs and win the heart of a good woman as he duels windmills along the way. Frank, Sammy & Dean, all singing, all dancing, all around entertainers, injected not only their songs into the 50s and 60s, but a lifestyle that everyone wanted. The Rat Pack was a force to be reckoned with, an inexhaustible energy that is as apparent in their music today as it ever was. ($75 per person. Prices subject to change without notification. Challenged by the taboo of intermingling between the aristocrats and the peasants, Ti Moune fights the powers of prejudice, hatred and death with love on her side. ($68 per person weekday. A beautiful and breathtaking musical about a woman and her six daughters, based on “The Quilters: Women of Domestic Arts” by Patricia Cooper and Norma Bradley Allen. Quilters blends oral histories of pioneer women into a rich mosaic and captures the sweep and splendor, the terror and joy, the harsh challenge and abiding rewards of frontier life. Illuminating stories contained in various quilt patches or “blocks” of music, dance and drama depict the lot of women on the frontier – girlhood, marriage, childbirth, sisterhood, twisters, fire, illness and death. But with this, there is also love, warmth, rich and lively humor and the moving spectacle of simple human dignity and steadfastness in the face of adversity. In the end, when the various patches are assembled into one glorious colorful quilt, the effect is magical. ($62 per person . Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino’s uniquely American vision of dance first took form in 1956. The original company consisted of six dynamic and highly individual dancers. While Joffrey stayed in New York to teach ballet classes and earn money to pay the dancers’ salaries, Arpino led the troupe as they crossed the American heartland in a station wagon. They would unload the car, rosin the stage, set the lights, iron the costumes, and get everything ready for the evening performance. Yet what really set them apart was their repertoire of original ballets by Joffrey. ($64 per person. Price subject to change without notification—price based on minimum group size of 20. Two thousand years ago, Stabiano was a luxurious corner of the Roman Empire-a resort community of lavish summer homes overlooking the Bay of Naples. Then, in a.d. 79, Mount Vesuvius erupted, burying Stabiano in ash and pumice, along with nearby Pompeii and Herculaneum. The disaster brought an end to life in Stabiano, but also preserved the town for future exploration. Its seaside villas, the property of powerful Romans, have yielded up frescoes, statuary, and household furnishings that give us a glimpse into a rich past. Biaggi’s Restaurant Biaggi’s is a great stop for a dinner or lunch when attending major cultural and theatrical events in the Toledo area. The restaurant has a contemporary European look that is chic and spacious. The food is also extraordinary ranging from distinctive pizzas and appetizers to elegant pasta and meat dishes consistent with northern style Italian cuisine. You have the option of selecting

from plate dinners or a family style meal. For our coach tours, I highly recommend the family style lunch or dinner meal because of its convenience and opportunity to sample a variety of delicious menu items. The family style meal allows the group to select and customize their choices. For example, the lunch and dinner menus give you the opportunity to select an appetizer, pizza or salad with the second course giving you selections from the pasta and entrée menu. Some of my favorite items are the Sherry Tomato Soup, the Chicken Piccante Pizza, the Caesar Salad and the Ravioli Quatro Formaggie. If you have a little time before or after the meal, I suggest shopping Levis Square where Biaggi’s is located. Levis Square offers you village style shopping with a variety of interesting boutiques and specialty shops. ($26 (includes gratuities and taxes) for the Traveltainment menu. Krzysiak’s House Restaurant

Krzysiak’s is a popular Bay City restaurant offering plenty of food at reasonable prices. Their buffet consists of a variety of American and Polish dishes. Dinning is informal and fun in this neighborhood style restaurant. Be sure to take-in the colorful hand-painted murals that decorate the walls of this family owned restaurant. The murals provide a rich historical perspective of the Polish heritage of the residents of the neighborhood. The food is hearty and there is plenty of it! Section 9 - Restaurant C

hoices Clara’s Lansing Station Restaurant

Clara’s Lansing Station restaurant is an ideal stop for our cultural tours to central and western Michigan. The 1903, restored railroad station’s unique architecture provides a wonderful and accommodating dinning environment with a historical twist. Be sure to take in all the antiques that surround you from the magnificent cathedral ceiling with a bronze chandelier to the fireplace mantle and its adjacent floor candelabras from a palace in Venice. In addition, to the main restaurant you have the option of dining in an elegant restored railroad dining car. Of course, the main reason for visiting Clara’s is

the outstanding food. The restaurant offers an excellent variety of meals from elegant full-course dinners to generous sandwiches and salads. This establishment and its sister restaurant, Clara’s on the River in Battle Creek, offer a fun dining experience that celebrates the spirit of the past. Consider these restaurants for both lunch and dinner stops. ($21 (includes gratuities and taxes) for the Traveltainment Club Car Menu. Call at 1-877-778-5466 for menu information and other options. Gandy Dancer Selecting a great restaurant in Ann Arbor is not easy, given the huge number of exceptional establishments located in this up-scale multi-cultural city. My selection of the Gandy Dancer, the brain child of Chuck Muer, is based on a long history of personal experiences with this fine restaurant. The Gandy Dancer has an enticing menu with a variety of items that should please all tastes. The fresh seafood and steaks choices are exceptional and highly recommended. The setting of the restaurant provides you with a rich historical perspective of our great railroad history. The restaurant is located in a completely restored train terminal that many considered to be "the finest railroad station between Buffalo and Chicago.” The distinctive décor of the restaurant combines a mix of sophisticated elegance with informality and comfort. The Gandy Dancer is just a fun place to go to have an exceptional dinning experience. I recommend considering this restaurant for theatrical tours to the Purple Rose Theatre in Chelsea or when visiting the many cultural attractions in the Ann Arbor area. ($30 (includes gratuities and taxes) for the Traveltainment menu. Call at 1-877-778-5466 for menu information and other options. Prices subject to change without notification)

Pampas Pampas is the first Brazilian bistro-style steak house in this area. The restaurant is up-scale, spacious, tastefully decorated with a large central salad bar unlike anything in the Detroit metro area. The salad bar has more than a 100 different and unique items. Many of the items on the

salad bar are traditional Brazilian dishes. In my mind, the highlight of the dinning experience is the multiple roasted meat courses served on skewers at your table. I encourage you and your friends to experience this truly international culinary adventure at Pampas. MLE Company has arranged with Pampas to serve a pre-theater meal that will get you to the show on time. I highly recommend this unique dinning experience. Iva’s

You are probably aware of the great chicken dinners in Frankenmuth but may not have heard of Iva’s in Sterling, Michigan. Take my word, from a southern gal from Tennessee, Iva’s gives the Frankenmuth restaurants a real run for their money. They specialize in southern fried chicken, prepared in an iron skillet, with real mashed potatoes, home-made dressings, gravy's and biscuits. The cole slaw is made with their own special dressing. Don’t forget to end the meal with one of Iva’s homemade pies. Iva’s is a comfortable, casual country style family restaurant that will make you feel right at home as soon as you enter the door. The restaurant is strategically located off of I-75, making it an ideal stop for trips to and from northern Michigan. I recommend

you give it a try on your next visit “Up-North.” ($15 (includes gratuities and taxes) for the Traveltainment menu. Call at 1-877-778-5466 for menu information and other options. Prices subject to change without notification)

Thomas Edison Inn The Thomas Edison Inn, located in Port Huron, will give you a memorable dinning experience. The Inn is located on the shores of the St. Clair River adjacent to the International Blue Water Bridges connecting the USA with Canada. The English Tudor style architecture of the Inn, with its rich interior wood décor and dramatic views of the river create a warm and inviting setting. The restaurant features delicious meat, poultry, and seafood dishes prepared and presented in a formal yet comfortable style. Be sure to check with MLE on the special senior dinner that offers great food at affordable prices. This historic restaurant is a popular lunch or dinner stop for theatrical tours to Stratford and holiday light tours to Sarnia, Ontario. ($14 Senior Dinner or $30 (includes gratuities and taxes) for the Traveltainment menu. Call at 1-877-778-5466 for menu information and other options. Prices subject to change without notification)

Tony Packo’s Restaurant Tony Packo’s has been a Toledo tradition for almost 75 years. The restaurant was made famous by Jamie Farr who played Corporal Max Klinger on the TV series MASH. I recommend visiting the original Tony Packo’s located in East Toledo to get the real flavor of this restaurant (pardon the pun). Check out the walls that are lined with over 1500 hot dog buns signed by visiting celebrities. The restaurant has a cozy, neighborhood feel with its many stain glass chandeliers and friendly staff. Be sure to visit the small souvenir shop located in the back of the restaurant that features their famous pickles and other assorted food products. I want to emphasize that Tony Packo’s is an informal restaurant with a limited menu featuring Hungarian style foods. Don’t skip the dessert! Be sure to try the strudel or the apple dumpling. ($16 (includes gratuities and taxes). Call at 1-877-778-5466 for menu information and other op-tions. Prices subject to change without notification)

Beaver Creek Tackle and Beer If you looking for an Up-North experience while Down-State, visit Beaver Creek Tackle and Beer in Westland Michigan. This comfortable, log style tavern with a central fireplace will give you a cozy and inviting dinning experience. The restaurant offers American style tavern food augmented with wild game selections. If you are adventurous try the Road Kill Grill which consists of roast venison, broiled quail, and wild boar sausage with a hearty homemade gravy, vegetables, wild rice and a free “I Eat My Road Kill” bumper sticker. The Wild Thang! appetizer is also an adventure consisting of venison sausage, rabbit ravioli, duck tenders, and BBQ buffalo meatballs. ($23 (includes gratuities and taxes for the Traveltainment Road Kill Grill dinner with a nonalcoholic beverage . Call at 1-877-778-5466 for menu information and other options. Genitti’s Hole in the Wall Restaurant? Genitti’s is all about wholesome Italian country cooking. The meals are served family style consisting of seven courses starting with Italian Wedding Soup served in the cooking pan at your table. After the soup course, comes garlic bread and an antipasto salad followed by pasta, Italian steak with potatoes, Italian sausage with green peppers and onions, and baked chicken with zucchini. This scrumptious dinner is topped with a homemade cannoli for dessert. The fun doesn’t stop at the end of the meal and continues with a trip to their small theater for an interactive comedy show. The food is great and there is plenty of it for all. Enjoy! ($37 (includes dinner,

show, gratuities and taxes) for the Traveltainment menu. Call at 1-877-778-5466 for menu information and other options. Prices subject to change without notification)

The River Café The River Café located in the Renaissance Center is a great lunch stop when attending a theatre matinee or a visit to one of the fine museums in downtown Detroit. The restaurant offers a breathtaking view of the Detroit River and the City of Windsor. The distinctive menu coupled with contemporary ambience make the dinning experience chic and stylish. The River Café has an excellent selection of luncheon meals

focused on contemporary regional American comfort foods. Give this restaurant a try on your next visit to downtown Detroit. ($13—Lunch Buffet Only (includes gratuities and taxes) for the Traveltainment menu. Call at 1-877-778-5466 for menu information. Prices subject to change without notification)

Union Street Restaurant Union Street is a restaurant with a rich history since it evolved from a San Francisco style pub to a Motown landmark. The restaurant is located in Detroit’s Cultural Center near Wayne State University, Center for Creative Studies, Detroit Institute of Arts, Orchestra Hall, Detroit Medical Center and the Hillberry Theatre. The restaurant has a rich artistic quality with art deco ambience, wood floors, neon and a diverse mix of patrons. This is a great restaurant to try before a show at the Fox, Fisher or Gem. You might also want to consider its bountiful Sunday Brunch prior to a Sunday Matinee. The Sunday brunch offers an imaginative mix of traditional and specialty items. I strongly recommend one of their nine frittata-style omelets for the brunch. ($19 for Lunch or Early Dinner Buffet, $24 Regular Dinner (includes gratuities and taxes) for the Traveltainment menu. Call at 1-877-778-5466 for menu information and other options. Prices subject to change without notification)

Sweet Lorraine’s Sweet Lorraine’s is an excellent stop for an early diner or lunch on the way to or from the theater. The restaurant offers a creative menu combining an eclectic assortment of ethnic and American style dishes. Try the delicious salads, soups, and interesting sandwiches served on crusty breads for lunch. The dinner menu features a unique combination of items with several excellent Caribbean and Mediterranean dishes. I recommend the Pecan and Jerk Chicken dishes, favorites among the restaurant’s regular customers. For dessert, try one of the cheese or rich chocolate cakes. The restaurant is trendy, informal and friendly. (Call for Pricing at 1-877-778-5466 for menu information and other options)

hoices Buca di Beppo

Manga, Manga as my Italian grandma would say! Buca di Beppo is family-style Italian at its best. Portions are huge, affordable and tasty complemented by hefty bottles of wine. This restaurant takes the Italian dining experience over the top. From Italian language tapes in the bathroom to the three-liter bottles of Chianti on every table, the vibe here is exaggerated Italian-American. Boisterous, sprawling dining rooms are modeled after supper clubs of the '40s and '50s--servers holler, kitchen doors swing, and Sinatra rules the stereo. High-carb, red-sauced southern Italian cooking dominates the menu. The Birmingham restaurant is a great stop on the way to or from shopping trips to the Malls or on show tours to the Baldwin Theatre in Royal Oaks and to productions in downtown Detroit. (Call for Pricing at 1-877-778-5466 for menu information and other options)

Legacy Golf Course Restaurant Legacy Golf Course Restaurant - Blissfield Michigan is a real surprise. The restaurant has a casual feel with panoramic views of the golf course. This is the place to go for a Sunday Grand Buffet that will keep you coming back to the table for more. Evenings are a treat with their Thursday night Seafood Buffet and Prime Rib dinners on Saturday night. Give the restaurant a try on show trips to the Stranahan Theatre in Toledo or to the Croswell Opera House in Adrian. (Sunday Grand Buffet $17.30 per person)
