1. Featured Video - TopThe top video is and all accompanying other videos will be tagged in terms of category and must include a Title and description. Likewise a URL and embed link will be provided for outside sharing. This brings more traffic to the site. Current Travel Pulse users enjoy the auto-play feature. But as with most auto-play videos, there should be a control to disable auto-play. This preference should carry with the users settings.

2. Travel Deals / Suppliers / Hotels On the main page, these callout sidebars will display the top hotels, deals and suppliers. When clicked,each will take the user to the corresponding page the related item. These will be populated based on the users preferences provided during registration.

3. News CategoriesThe main news categories are transferring over from the previous iteration of travel pulse. When clicked, the user will be sent to separate homepage based on news of this category. All of top news, videos, deals and advertising will be related to this category. This makes advertising equally localized and easier to sell. When selected, the homepage will refresh with all related content going to the news category page (wireframe news category)

4. Locale NewsLocale news will live on the front page of travel pulse. It's another avenue to a location based category. A user can click on a map to bring up a location on a collection of resources related to a destination. Otherwise, they can also be sent to random destinations's news. Finally, there is also a search feature where the user can simply type in their destination.

5. Add to favorites and post to social networks. The user will have the option to publish status updates of articles, videos and categories to social networks. This is provided in the registration data. Likewise, these can also be added to favorites.

6. News Category GridThis grid, located below the news items will list all the main news categories as well as any additional ons PMG chooses to add and the top listed stories for said categories. Clicking on each of the headers will take the user to a category page.

7. Star Based rating system.This star based rating system will be used for media and articles. This can be used to push ads to specific customers based on how they rate articles.

8. Destination based linkFor News items in this area this link will take the user to either a landing page with news items or if not available a search result list of articles.

9. Top Stories "More Link"When clicked, this will take the user to a news category page. If PMG chooses to add either another category or micro site, it will either go to that micro site index or to a search result page.

10. Main stories carouselThis area contains either our main stories or branded micro sites. As expected, this will take the use to either an article or branded microsite.

1. Select locale / Destination Originally, the Locale will display the locale based on data provided from the user based on their

registration or PMG preference. When a new region is selected with a modal pop-up, the provided map will move to that area and the user will be given a list of content options. The user doesn't select the area on the map, however if the user clicks the map, they will be taken to a search results area based on content of relative search result to that area.

2. Add to favorite destinations or social networking. 2.1 When adding to favorites, the result will be a favorite search category unless PMG chooses to make

each destination a main catergory2.2 For adding to a social network, an assumed response would be "Skot has added Japan to his favorite

places on Travelpulse." with an associated link going back to the area.

3. 'Surprise me' feature3.1 The surprise me feature will take a user to a random destination. This will be floated with it's own

related content. This can also be loaded with destinations according to marketing information.

1. Top StoriesTop cruise stories will be delimited by date. The sub categories in this area will break out news which is easier to read and place in terms of marketing. PMG is considering breaking news into categories for areas such as 'consumer' and 'Industry'. This is an accepted way to do this. Another category is user news. This is a will bring added interest to an industry publication, where is doesn't exist currently. As a press item, it will bring outside interest. As internal item, YouNews writers will draw possible new viral traffic.

2. Breaking stories As with most stories, these must have imagery associated with them. These stories, which by default would be featured by date (and by interest). These would get a much higher priority to users and could also highlight micro sites or sub-sections.

3. "More News Items" Links "More News items" links would take the user to a designated search result page (labeled in the wireframes as 'wireframe more news'

1. Top News Stories This is a standard news ticker common on many news sites. This news ticker would display top news from all categories, not just the displayed ones. This works for two reasons: firstly, it drives the user to read more news and thus stay longer on our site. Secondly, it could market news and alerts which we'd like to feature. This could have a similar feature to the alerts widget on travel-tribe.

2. Bread Crumbing When leaving the front page, bread crumbing is present in sections such as articles, more search results, author and deals. It is not present on main navigation sections.

3. Sub-section search results The search results area of sub-section will (by default) will search only that subsection. However, the search area will allow the user to select to search all content.

4. Author When the user selects the author of the article, they will be taken to the author's page, not the article. This is a case where bread crumbing is useful. The authors page will have the list of all their articles as well as other pertinent information.

5. read more When the user selects the 'read more' option, they will be taken to the selected article.

6. Article thumbnails As with other areas on the site, all articles must have an image associated with the article. This is important for user comfortability.

7. 'Under-image' links Under image links will usually take the user to the story. However if it's a regional story the link could re-direct to a search item about that region.

8. Subscribe to news letterThe newsletter is currently the prime source of traffic to travelpulse. However, for those who are re-directed to the article from another source.

9. paged search resultsThis is the standard for multi-page search results. Having it be at the bottom of the page instills attachment from the user.

10. more top news'More top news' is not category based, but global, allowing the user to explore more areas of the site.

1. Sign In. When the user clicks the sign-in button, the users name will appear in the tab where 'sign in' currently resides. This box will be a modal pop-up providing relevant sign-in data. If not signed up, the user will be re-directed to the global-registration site. 2. View count This is popular amongst users and it also brings in advertisers to specific sections to our sites. This is based on unique sessions.

3. More InformationThis area holds the Title of the Video (which must be given for all videos and must also be tagged depending on category), there will also be a description given for each video. If larger than the space given, it should push down bringing the ratings and share boxes to one line.

4. videos navigationOnly for videos, this will be duplicate categories of the main navigation. This will populate the area to the right of itself. When selected, the name of the displayed video tab will change to the corresponding selection.

5. Displayed videos tabThis is the main content area for the categories for videos. As the navigation is selected, the title of the tab (now labeled as Most Recent) will change to fit the navigation item selected. An RSS icon will be present in order for a user to subscribe to a channel of videos.

6. Arrow based navigationAs so many of the videos are news based (and many more of them are on the page compared to news items), the number of videos will be displayed, however there is non-numerical arrow based paging.

7. Embedding and sharing The user will be given a custom URL to share on blogs, email and social media.

8. Video thumbnails By default, the thumbnail for a video will be the first frame of said video. Each video will have a title, description (of which only the first line will appear) and a link to load it into the top section. When the video is selected, it will appear in the featured area of said page. This allows the user to never have to leave the page. If desired by SEO / content, a new page could be loaded with the same display type.

1. Regional Title / region selector When a regional news category is selected, the presntation will be : "TravelPulse : Region". There will also be an RSS feed of this. Granted, it will basically be a re-branded search category, however it will open up travel pulse to have a "home page" of nearly every region which we've got content on. This also opens new veins of advertising.

2. Regional top storiesThese stories will be the most popular or most recent stories added based on the specific region.

3. MapThe map will display the current region selected. If decided by editorial, the map may be switched out with a photo of the area.

4. Navigation This is nearly a duplicate of the main navigation. However, the current region will appear on the top of the list.

5. Regional YouNewsA YouNews author can choose to define their article to specific said regions. This should be a multi-tiered classification. Expounding upon this, it would be in the region as well as the YouNews directory and other main navigable destinations.

1. Article Title and Deck1.1 Article titles should fit within guidelines of editorial voice to ensure continuity of quality around the

travel pulse brand. 1.2 When composing deck content, it should be suitable to be fed to news aggregators per the future

audience we are trying to enlist.

2. Author link to profile2.1 When the user selects the author's name on the article, they will be taken to the author's profile.

Where there is a list of all of the articles and related content they've contributed to. 2.2 All authors must create a profile. Assuming one is not created, they will be able to import much of their

traveltribe profile to auto-complete this step.

3. related content 3.1 If tagged correctly, each article will have similar stories. deals and suppliers. The top three of each

category should be listed in this column. When a user selects the read more link, they will be re-directed to a search results page of said content.

3.2 The related content column can also be used for additional banner advertising.

4. Media within articles4.1 Every article on travel pulse must have at least one image associated with it. As we are a travel based

company, imagery with these articles is extremely important for keeping user interest as well as establishing a brand with quality imagery. At the most minimal additions, this main image will be placed at the top of the article.

4.2 Additional media, such as video, image carousels and audio should be placed within articles. This increases user interest. It also keeps the user on the site for the duration of the video

5. Article ContinuationTo keep relevant content viewable, all news stories beyond a certain length should continue on to a second page. The average length which a viewer should read on one page should be no more than 800 words maximum. The navigation will be with a numbered navigation with the title and a 'continued' tag line.

6. Related Stories The related stories will be a list of the most recent stories in the category which hold the current article. Placing this at the end will give the user additional content after they've finished reading the content, lending to more time spent on the site.

ijian officials are assessing damage caused by Cyclone Tomas, a powerful storm that battered the northern and eastern section of the island nation for three days before heading out to sea on Wednesday. Winston Thompson, Fiji's ambassador to the United States, said he expected damage from Tomas to top the estimated $25 million in damage caused by Cyclone Mick in December.

Australia and New Zealand have begun airlifting emergency supplies to Fiji. One death has been reported due to the cyclone, but the full extent of the damage is still to be determined because communications to the hardest-hit areas have been cut off. “It is evident that wherever Tomas has struck, the damage has been overwhelming," Commodore Frank Bainimarama, Fiji's prime minister and military chief, said Wednesday, according to the Associated Press.

Cyclone Tomas reached Fiji late Friday, with sustained winds of 130 mph and gusts of up to 175 mph. The storm ripped through the northern Lau and Lomaiviti island groups and the northern coast of Vanua Levu before losing strength and moving out to sea on Wednesday. At the height of the storm, sea surges as high as 23 feet were reported in the Lau island group. A nationwide curfew was lifted on Wednesday, but a state of emergency remains in effect in the northern and eastern sections of Fiji for the next 30 days.

1. Authoring profile This is the author who is currently writing the YouNews Article. From this area, the current author will be able to see their own author

2. Article taggingArticles must have at least one tag. This is for classification purposes. An aticle may not be submitted without at least one tag.

3. Title and image disclaimerThis is to ensure that relevant content is submitted as well as to let the user know that this may be used for marketing purposes.

4. Hero ImageThe user may upload a hero image to be displayed with their article. Otheriwise, the default image should be pulled for their first article tag.

1. Preset NewslettersThe newsletters will live in a preset carousel, each newsletter will have a preset icon, ususally set with the main destination as it's hero icon. When a menu item is selected, the content area below will populate with the necessary information from the selected newsletter.

2. "Create your own" button.When selected, the "create your own" button will clear the text area allowing the agent to input their own content. At this point, the content is not much different to sending an email to a collection of clients.

3. Content Area. When a newsletter is selected, this content area will be populated with the information from the newsletter. However, the content area will remain editable in case the user would like to customize their message text

4. Address Area The address area is where the user inputs the email addresses of their clients.

5. Submission buttonWhen the submit button is pressed, a confirmation will appear in the style of a modal pop-up. At this point, the newsletter will send. If the user selects cancel, the content box as well as the address area will default to it's original state.

1. Search Results 1.1 The search results will contain video, articles, you news and supplier profiles. Each area should

contain a subhead illustrating to the user it's content destination. 1.2 The ratings associated with said results are fixed in the search area and content can not be rated from

said area.

2. Search item result 2.1 All search results must have a date, title and tag at minimum. Items are listed by date with the

exception of suppliers and destinations which can be listed by context of alphabetically.

3. Related content (text)3.1 As search terms can be somewhat complex, a micro-list of deals and suppliers will be given based on

the detailed user search. When the see more link is selected, the user will be brought to another search result page of the type of item selected.

3.2 The sidebar will be based on a more general search (single keyword)

4. Related video The related video is connected directly to the search term.

5. Search iconographyany items other than articles must have an icon associated with said content. In terms of video, an over-lay denoting it's content should be present as an identifier

6. Result sortingBy default, results are sorted by date. If the user chooses, they may also sort by relevance.

1. Deal title and information1.1 The deal must have a title and ID number. More often, these will be external. If not an internal number

should be created1.2 A default icon should be included if possible. Cropping the hero image should be the default for

creation of icons when not present.

2. connectivity. 2.1 At this point, the user will be able to view the company profile, print, email and send to their travel tribe

profile. When email the offer, it should only be possible to sign up from the page where the deal lives. 2.2 Sharing via travel tribe will add said deals to the user's traveltribe profile if they are an agent. If they

are a consumer, then it will be sent to their tribal shouts.

3. Social Network and Sharing 3.1 for facebook and twitter, the posts will be identical, talking of the deals with a link. For email, the page

will be sent to the recipients, branded with travelpulse. The add to traveltribe button, will link to the existing tribe if one is present.

3.2 adding a page to favorites should carry over to travel tribe as well. .

4. Hero Image and Callout4.1 When a deal is added, an image must be present. 4.2 this image should be cropped if possible to create the thumbnail for the deal.

5. CategoryAll deals must have at least one category so they come up in search results.

6. Destination All deals must have at least one destination. In the case of cruising they should all be listed.

7. BookingBooking information should always be added. At the minimum, it should contain a point of contact by either phone or email.
