Shalee Blackmer is the founder and owner of the blog titled “Shalee Wanders”. For the past three years, Shalee has exceled in the travel blogging and writing industry. Her travel photos and work has been featured with a ride range of companies, including Forbes, USA Today, The Huffington Post, and Pure Michigan.

Her love for travel began at the age of 18 in her home state of Michigan. Sometimes paying for gas in quarters, she’d spend her off-days traveling the state, sleeping in her car, and eating cold canned soup for meals.

In 2014, she began a blog to help showcase affordable travel to her Facebook friends, who often wondered how she was able to travel so much. Although travel and writing were her passions, she never expected to become a successful travel blogger. Today, her blog has reached over one million readers, and has garnered thousands of loyal fans and followers.

Shalee is constantly humbled that an unimaginable dream became a reality for a small town girl. In the last five years she’s managed to travel to over 30 countries and 44 states.
