Vienna International Airport to Savoyen Hotel
By Taxi – approximately 18 kilometres (11 miles) from Vienna International Airport (approx.
euro 30 to 35).
By Suburban Train (S7): from Vienna Airport to Rennweg Station (direction to Floridsdorf) (Hotel
is one block away)
o Take the S7 line and make sure it stops at Rennweg station (Some trains may be non‐
stop trains to Landstrasse/Wien Mitte Station or other stations in the downtown core
where you will then need to take a second train). Usually all S7 trains stop at Rennweg.
The travel time is approximately 30 minutes and the trains run frequently. Price is euro
4.40.
By City Airport Express Train: from Vienna Airport to the City Air Terminal (CAT) at Landstrasse
subway station/Wien Mitte Railway Station
o The City Airport Train is the nonstop connection between the station Wien Mitte /
Landstrasse and Vienna International Airport. The ride takes approx. 16 min and the
trains run every 30 minutes. From the station Wien Mitte / Landstraße you have access
to the underground lines U3 and U4.
o From here, you can take a taxi to the Savoyen Hotel.
By Public Transport (Tram): the hotel is located less than 1 block from the S‐Bahn (Suburban
Rail) railway station Rennweg, and is serviced by tramway numbers 71 and 0.
By Subway: The closest subway station to Savoyen Hotel is 1.6 km (1 mile) =Wien Mitte
Landstraße: U3 (orange) and U4 (green)
Savoyen Hotel to Rathaus (Vienna City Hall) for Schweighofer Prize events:
Walking: it is a 35‐40 minute walk
Tram: Take tram #71 from Rennweg Station to Rathausplatz / Burgtheater Station (8 stops).
Rathaus is opposite the station (you just have to pass the Rathausplatz Square)
Taxi: it is 6‐10 minutes, depending on the traffic.
