For general information about apprenticeship or apprenticeship registration, please contact the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (phone numbers and address listed at the beginning of this section) or visit their website: edu.gov.on.ca/eng/training/training.html

An OSSD or equivalent is required for all apprenticeship programs with the exception of Auto Body Repairer and Automotive Painter.

IN-SCHOOL TRAININGComplementing on-the-job training are in-school sessions conducted at Centennial College. Depending on the trade, there are one to three sessions of full-time instruction, usually eight weeks in length. Some programs are offered on a one day per week or two evenings per week basis.

The in-school training is provided as part of the apprenticeship. You will be scheduled into your college sessions by your Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities counsellor in consultation with your employer.
