Transition Project

My transition project music video helped me to learn the basics of how to film and edit a music video. It is a narrative and performance video as there is a direct link between the visuals and the lyrics. It is a story of love.

There are a few close ups, medium close ups and eye line shots to build up the romantic emotions.

It shows elements of other music videos such as lip syncing but also some less familiar elements such as stop mot ion animation.

After some feedback it was suggested by my audience to use more adventurous backgrounds and tighten up the lip-syncing as in some shots it is clear they are not singing.

I used technologies such as premiere pro and a Cannon 600D camera. They have helped me learn my way around editing and filming on a basic level; how to speed up and slow down images and also how to black and white shots. All in all I have found it useful as it will help me to develop my own Music Video.
