MASTERY
▪ A 90% is required to indicate mastery on the study plan materials.
▪ An 85% is required for mastery of the proctored tier assessments.
▪ Final tier assessments cannot be retaken without required remediation between attempts.
DISCUSSING EXIT POINTS
Sit down or web conference students individually to discuss exit points.
Instructor can ID and offset students who need help with technology.
Require students to pause and learn when needed.
Keep open communication with students.
Set expectations for tier tests.
Instructors should teach soft skills (even if informally)
Goal: Set students up for success.
Check the arrows at the bottom to
see how many examples are
available. You need to view all
examples to continue.
After second tier test
attempt, students may
receive a
‘congratulations!’
message even if they
did not pass. The
system is just saying
they have completed all
material. Schools can
change the message.

INSTRUCTOR USE OF EDREADY
▪ Verify target score
▪ Verify completion of unit tests as review – if school requires
▪ Review tier test questions with students

Red Flags in EdReady
Lots of time in EdReady but no studying
Student taking lots of tests but not studying
To check for ‘test in progress’ for diagnostic and tier tests
Email summary report
Look for ‘ID in Progress’
‘Remove’ goal if they leave and have not completed
‘Add goal when they return to continue proctoring
TIPS IN EDREADY
All tests taken by students can be viewed by the instructor. This is a great way to determine students’ specific areas of weakness.
TIPS IN EDREADY
The Snipping Tool is an excellent resource to “snip” questions from practice to provide additional practice sheets to support to students.
COLLEGE EDREADY ADMINISTRATOR
▪ Create instructor accounts
▪ Create goals and keys
▪ Each goal must have a unique name
▪ Give each instructor access to their goals
▪ Instructions for administrators:tinyurl.com/NROC-Training
THE NEW APPROACH
▪ The original approach (used through Fall 2019) required that sets of 9 goals were created each semester for each course.
▪ The new approach only requires a single goal for each course or instructor. Your EdReady site will
be pre-populated with this single master goal to copy.
TITLING THE GOALS
▪ Use unique names that will aid in data sorting
▪ Original: NC.TM.MASTER
▪ Sample:19FA 100 101 Miller Sexton 8am MAT-003 (or BSP-4003)
▪ General:(semester) (section) (instructor) (time) MAT-003 (or BSP-4003)
Instructors appreciated
having an identifying
feature of their course,
such as section
number, in goal name.
