Transition video For the transition project, I was required to work in a group to produce a music video for the track – ‘Bobby McFerrin- Don’t worry be happy’ I worked as part of a team with Holly and Jasmine, and featured other students within the college for our music video. When thinking about visual concepts of our video, we knew we wanted to gain experience with animation and using different tools within the adobe programmes- Photoshop and Premiere. We also wanted our music video to follow a story and match with some of the lyrics of the track and so came up with our ideas of expressing emotions using people and props. For example- at the beginning of the song it says ‘here’s a little song I wrote you might want to sing it for note’ Nadia appears on screen reading a letter crying. As the song progresses, the characters featured in the video appear to become happier, as we wanted to achieve an atmosphere of content and fearlessness which follows the idea of the song. When uploading our finished product to YouTube, we did however come across some copyright issues regarding the record company the song is contracted to, so the track to our music video was removed.

This project was set to us at the beginning of the A2 year to introduce and refresh us with new techniques in Adobe Premiere. The small project required us to find images around the college which we thought could match the lyrics with the ‘alphabet song’. This was a fun and creative project and I learnt how to use some new tools in the Premiere programme.

Animation project

This project was a small scale animation video which lasts about 15seconds to demonstrate our current knowledge of Adobe programmes and enhance our skills over the forthcoming term. In this short animation, Jasmine and I used images from Google and copied a track from YouTube to apply to our video. The intention of this was project was to have fun and create a humorous animation which I feel we have achieved.
