The Phrase of Initiation (1978-1988). 1978 was the starting point for Customs in China to initiate the journey of automation.

The Phrase of System Application (1988-1998).A milestone event was the designing and developing of National Customs Clearance Management System (System H883, launched in March of 1988) in 1988.

The Phrase of Nationwide Linked (1998-1999). , China Customs commerced to implement “Customs Clearance Reform” (通关作业改革) and networked customs information system enabled the customs authorities to conduct enforcement and implement policy in a uniformed manner.

At the Phrase of Cross-sector connected System (E-Port)(1999-2005). H2000 Clearance launched and China E-Port platform established

Decisionmaking-support(2005-present): H2000 updated to H2010 and more paperless trading policies and customs reforms initiated. Latest ICT deployed, e.g. cloud computing, big data, IOT .etc
