STORY SO FAR:After Megatron allowed himself to be captured by the Autobots, Optimus Prime struggled to understand his motivationfor surrender. During their first conversation, the Decepticon leader made a shocking accusation: Spike Witwicky hadeliminated Scrapper, one of the Constructicons, in cold blood. Optimus refused to believe it, but knew he would have toconfront this matter head-on.
When Rodimus returns to Earth with the Matrix of Leadership, he hands it back to Optimus Prime while warning himthat Galvatron has raised an army on Cybertron. Optimus assembles most of the Autobots to return home, but leavesbehind a small group in order to find out the truth about Spike. Prowl leads the investigation into the matter, and Spikeseems unaware that his allies might discover some harsh realities about the Skywatch leader…
