Dear Delegates,

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us for the Pfizer-sponsored symposium taking place at the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) Congress 2019.

Transformative science in an era of comprehensive care: from lab to life

In this era of transformative science, the field of haemophilia is pioneering advanced, targeted therapeutic approaches for patients. However, questions remain around the potential impact and clinical considerations these advances may bring, including sustainability, immunogenicity, patient selection and organisation of care.

Through a shared understanding of the science underpinning alternative approaches to treatment, focusing on non-factor-based targets and gene therapy, this symposium will explore the scientific rationale behind these approaches.

Additionally, by reviewing the evolution of comprehensive care models, we will explore the potential impact of these advances on comprehensive care. Finally, we will look at the importance of exploring evolving models of care in adapting to the rapidly changing haemophilia landscape.

We look forward to welcoming you to this stimulating and educational symposium.
