Summer Office Hours The parish office is open Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 am to 12 noon, and is closed in the afternoons, for the month of August.

Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, September 5th.

Would Anyone You Know Want to Become Catholic? Every year our parish welcomes in new members through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). For the most part, those who haven’t yet joined our community also don’t read our bulletin. The invitation for someone to inquire about our faith and con-sider joining our community has to come from YOU. Please consider inviting a friend, family member, or acquaintance to learn about our faith and encounter Jesus Christ.

For more information on RCIA, please contact Cody at 306-682-2106 or email: [email protected]

Transfiguration of the Lord - August 6 The Feast of the Transfiguration has been observed on this day by the universal Church since the fifteenth century. The experience on Mount Tabor is one where Jesus reveals his divinity, and invited us all into a similar mystical encounter. The path up that mountain proceeds through prayer, and on this feast we are encouraged to read and relect upon the biblical account of the Transfiguration.

Saint Maximilian Kolbe - August 14 Saint Maximilian was born in Poland in 1894. As a Franciscan, he worked to spread the Gospel in his native Poland as well as in Japan. He had a great devotion to Our Lady.

During the Nazi occupation of Poland, he helped thousands of refugees, including Polish Jews. He was arrested by the Gestapo in 1941 and imprisoned at Auschwitz. Three months after Maximilian’s arrival, a prisoner escaped. In retaliation, 10 men were chosen at random to die. One was a young father; Maximilian offered to take his place. His offer accepted, Maximilian died on this day in 1941 and was canonized in October 1982.

Baptism: Parents are required to take baptismal preparation sessions before the birth of

their child. Please call the parish office to register.

Marriage: Couples must call Fr. Joseph or Fr. Michael before a date will be booked, with

a minimum of 6 months notice.

“In 1946,

we crowned

Our Lady of Fatima as Queen of the World;

and the next year,

through her pilgrim statue,

She set forth as though

to claim Her dominion;

and the favours she performs along the way

are such that

we can hardly believe

what we are seeing

with our eyes.”

-Holy Father, Pope Pius XII

Free-will offerings will be accepted to cover the expenses of the tour
