search different colleges and get answers to
questions about the transfer admission pro-

Phi Theta Kappa Induction Ceremony We are pleased to invite you to attend our
seventeenth annual Phi Theta Kappa Induc-
tion Ceremony to be held on Friday, March
27, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Jackson Arts
Center. Phi Theta Kappa is an international
honor society for two-year college students.
To be eligible for membership, a student
must be enrolled in a program at BCC, have
earned a minimum of 24 BCC credits, and
have a minimum grade point average of 3.5.

Breaking Transfer News!
UMass Dartmouth has just announced that starting Spring 2015 all students graduating
from BCC with a 3.0 GPA will be guaranteed free tuition. This is a cost savings of
$1417.00 per academic year. For more information on cost saving alternatives visit our

Putting the Pieces Together
In this workshop we will offer advice to help students
develop a competitive transfer admission applica-
tion. Topics will include application deadlines, needed
documentation, application essays, and letters of recom-
mendation. We will also present information on availa-
ble transfer scholarships and eligibility criteria.

MassTransfer—Transfer Made Easy
This workshop is for students interested in transferring
to UMass or one of the Massachusetts State Universities.
We will explain the MassTransfer Program, a statewide
program that guarantees admission, tuition reduction,
and transfer of credit (each based on final GPA). Learn
more about the benefits of graduating from a BCC
MassTransfer eligible program before transferring to a
Massachusetts State University.

Workshops for Transfer Students Transfer College Fair Attleboro Campus BCC transfer students planning to
attend a four-year college or university
should plan to attend BCC’s Transfer
College Fair at the Attleboro Cam-
pus. Representatives from various BCC
transfer programs and admissions offic-
ers from four-year institutions will be
on campus to answer questions about
the transfer process. No appointment is
necessary. Students should bring a
copy of their BCC transcript.

On The Road Again
The Transfer Services staff will be on the road
again this semester to provide transfer counsel-
ing for students who attend the New Bedford,
Attleboro and Taunton campuses.
Students who plan to continue their education
at a four-year college or university and have
questions regarding the transfer process, should
take advantage of this opportunity and make an
appointment to see the Transfer Counselor.

programs that will provide you with the
tools you need to help your advisees trans-
fer successfully.
Spotlight on RIC
Our first program will feature Rhode Island
College’s Director of Transfer Admissions,
who will speak about transfer opportuni-
ties at RIC. She will focus on RIC’s Medi-
cal Imaging, Nursing, Social Work, and
Communication programs, but will be
available to answer any questions you have
about transfer to RIC. If you have particu-
lar questions related to transfer at RIC, let
us know and we will be sure to inform our
guest speaker ahead of time. Please invite
interested students .

Four-Year Transfer Counseling Appointments Students can make transfer counseling appointments
with representatives from Bridgewater State
University, Bryant University, Johnson and Wales
University, Rhode Island College, Roger Williams
University, University of Rhode Island, UMASS
Amherst, and UMASS Dartmouth to review their
BCC transcript and learn more about the transfer ap-
plication process without ever leaving the Fall River
campus. Students can make appointments with
multiple colleges all on the same day.
