Travelcards/Bus PassesYou can store 7 Day Travelcards and Bus Passes on your Oyster card.

A combination of bothFor complete flexibility, you can store tickets and cash on a single Oyster card.

Remember: the cash you put on Oyster never expires sohold onto the Oyster card for your next visit to London.

How to get an Oyster card and top upYou can renew the ticket stored on your card or topup your cash balance:

• Online at tfl.gov.uk/oyster

• At most Tube stations through the touchscreen ticket machines and the station ticket offices

• At over 2,200 Oyster Ticket Stops. Find your nearest one at tfl.gov.uk/fares

• At some National Rail ticket offices

• At 8 London Travel Information Centres, which also offer travel advice, free maps and entry tickets to many attractions. They are open 7 days a week in:-Liverpool Street Tube station -Piccadilly Circus Tube station -Euston National Rail station-Victoria National Rail station -Victoria Coach station -Heathrow Terminals 1, 2, 3 Tube stations -West Croydon Bus station (Monday to Friday only)-Camden Town Hall - opposite King's Cross station (Monday to Friday only)

• By phone on 0845 330 9876(open 8am - 8pm daily) ** Calls from BT landlines costs 3.5p per minute.Calls from mobiles vary depending on network.

Using Oyster on National Rail7 day and longer period Travelcards stored on Oystercan be used across National Rail services in London.

Taxis & private hireTaxis and private hire vehicles offer a convenientdoor to door service, all year round. Always ensureyou use a licensed taxi or private hire vehicle,unlicensed cabs are illegal, uninsured and oftendangerous. Private hire vehicles, including minicabs,must always be booked through a licensed privatehire operator.

Heritage bus routesTravelcards are valid on the Heritage routes. Thefamous Routemaster buses run every 15 minutesdaily, from about 0930 to1830, so you can hop onand off while visiting London's attractions. Theyoperate alongside the standard services on thefollowing two routes:

• Bus route 9: between Aldwych and Royal Albert Hall (returning from Prince of Wales Gate)

• Bus route 15: between Trafalgar Square and Tower Hill

The conductor has a hand-held device which youneed to touch with your Oyster card.

These buses are not wheelchair accessible.

What is an Oyster card? Oyster is the cheapest way to pay for single journeyson Tubes, buses, DLR and trams in London. You canstore your Travelcard/Bus Pass and/or cash to payas you go on your card.

How to use yourOyster card Just touch your Oystercard flat on a yellowcard reader each timeyou make a journey.

Tube, DLR and National Rail servicesAlways touch in at the start and touch out at the end of your journey, even if the gates are open.

BusesAlways touch in as you board. You do not need totouch out.

TramsAlways touch in on the card reader on the tramstop platform before boarding a tram. You do notneed to touch out.

How to pay for your journeys with OysterCash to pay as you goYou can store cash on your card to pay for singlejourneys as you go. You can make as many journeysas you like in a 24 hour period*and you will alwaysbe charged less than the price of an equivalent DayTravelcard or One Day Bus Pass.*24 hour period is 0430 up to 0429 the next day.
