About the Training Resource Centre (TRC) Education, Training and Employment support for residents, Camden Adult Pathway service users and local community members.
The portfolio of courses is about unlockingthe hidden potential of every participantand we continuously apply creative andimaginative thinking into our work to ensure its relevance to our users.
Working in partnership Collaboration and partnerships are integral to ensuring the TRC provides comprehensive and accessible training and education programmes for all our service users. We work with a number of educational providers including WorkingMen’s College, Westminster Kingsway College, City of Westminster, Camden Adult Community Learning, Mary Ward Centre and Training Link.
We are constantly exploring new avenuesand potential collaborations and also work in partnership with a number of local volunteers to offer life skills and wellbeing classes in areas such as art, tai chi, creative writing, acupuncture and gardening.

The TRC is located within the communalgrounds of Sapphire Independent Housing’sConway House hostel, based in a quiet residential part of Kilburn. The London Borough of Camden fund Sapphire to provide housing related support needs for our Conway House residents and educational, training and employment support for all Camden Adult Pathway service users and local community members.
How we work The TRC provides an informal environmentwhere service users can increase their skills and experience in a number of areas. The centre’s Education, Training andEmployment (ETE) Co-ordinator providesInformation Advice and Guidance (IAG) on a one-to-one basis, literacy support and help with CV writing and completingonline applications.
The TRC encompasses Sapphire’s commitment to achieving our mission to ‘improve lives and value people’ through the continuous development of training and educational programmes that encourage service users to develop life skills, improve health, well-being andbuild confidence.
Hiring of TRC and/or Conway Housemeeting roomsThere is a large communal space at thecentre of the TRC, which can be used for training, meetings, workshops and seminars. The tables can be arranged to facilitate the requirement of the booking.The TRC can be used as conference space for up to 50 people (there may be additional costs for hiring of chairs) and as a training space for up to 20 people.There are two meeting rooms within Conway House, which can be also be hired. The meeting rooms are fully air conditioned and comfortably fit up to ten people.

FacilitiesThe TRC provides all the facilities required for meetings, training and smallconferences, such as a projector, smart-board, five laptops, an apple mac and two PCs. There are also kitchen facilities, an accessible toilet and full Wi-Fi accessthroughout the building.
Residents are encouraged to participate in a range of activities designedto develop key life skills, improve health, well-being and build confidence.
