BackgroundThe institute of National Institute of Animal

Nutrition and Physiology was established in 1995

under the aegis of the Indian council Agriculture

Research (ICAR) to conduct fundamental studies on

basic physiology and nutrition problems related to bio-

physical translation of nutrients for productive function

    livestock.

Biostatistics as a discipline of research

technology is useful in designing the study. Collection

and management of data, analysis and interpretation in

the information era, a large volume of data is generated

through various research activities. Most of the

researchers often face difficulty in handling data, in

addition to the use of suitable statistical techniques to

obtain the relevant information. Data management is

primary tool to be used before it is subjected to

statistical analysis. National Institute of Animal

Nutrition and Physiology is organizing the two days

training programme on Research methodology, DataManagement and Biostatistics for the benefit research

    workers.
