Training Program for Financial Institutions on Energy Efficiency Financing. Venue: Hotel Radisson Blu Atria, Bengaluru Date: 22.11.2017 Time: 10:00 AM – 05:00 PM Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) with BEE and in collaboration with the IBA organized “Training Workshops for FIs on EE Financing in India” on 22nd November in Bangalore. IFC extended the technical support to the workshops, as part of IFC’s Eco-Cities program in India, supported by the European Union (EU). The one-day training workshop provided an overview of the technical and economic characteristics of EE projects, business models, financing needs, and risk management approaches. The workshop was also a platform for the participants to interact with EE experts/ Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) on areas such as market opportunities, business models, technical and financial appraisal of projects and measurement and verification (M&V). The workshop also included quiz and activity sessions. Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) with BEE and in collaboration

Regional Workshop on Perform, Achieve and Trade (PAT) Scheme

Designated Consumers (DCs) located in the southern states of the

country.

Venue: HOTEL LE MERIDIAN, Bengaluru. Date: 31st May, 2018 Time: 10:00 AM – 05:00 PM

The workshop on PAT scheme was organized for the orientation of southern states DCs.

The aim of this workshop is to orient the new DCs to provide introduction, an exposure

to the statutory and other obligations they are required to fulfil under the PAT scheme

for DCs. The workshop marked an end to the series of regional workshops for PAT

cycle-III and PAT Cycle IV. This workshop was hosted by the Karnataka Renewable

Energy Development Limited (KREDL), SDA of Karnataka at Bengaluru in association

with Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE). The workshop witnessed an overwhelming

participation of around 90 personnel from various sectors under the PAT cycle III and

IV. The workshop was divided in two sessions.

Dissemination workshop on Energy Efficient Motors, Pumps and

Distribution Transformers

Venue: Hotel Goldfinch, Bengaluru. Date: 28th September, 2018 Time: 9:30 AM – 04:00 PM

The Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL), SDA in coordination

with the M/s International Copper Association India (CAI) organized the one day

dissemination workshop on Energy Efficient Motors, Pumps and Distribution

Transformers on 28.09.2018 at Bengaluru. This workshop had given an enhanced

knowledge on the technologies of energy efficient equipment like motors, pumps and

distribution transformers for engineers. The one-day training workshop provided a

broader perspective of the technical and economic appearances of Energy Efficient

equipment’s for wide variety of stakeholders.

The workshop conducted in Hotel Goldfinch, Bengaluru was attended by 5 speakers

and witnessed an overwhelming participation of around 112 from Govt. Utilities [such

as Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB), Karnataka Power

Transmission Company Limited (KPTCL), Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL),

Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), Chief Electrical Inspector to GoK (CEI),

Electrical Div, and Public Works Department (PWD)], PAT DC’s from various sectors

and Accredited Energy Auditors/ Energy Managers.

The International Copper Association India extended the technical support to the

workshops for arranging speakers from Siemens, Bharath Bijlee, Grundfos and ICAI.

The one-day training workshop provided an overview of the

One Day Workshop on Energy Efficient Pumps and Motors

Venue : Southern Star Hotel, Mysore. Date : 15th November, 2018 Time : 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The One Day Workshop on Energy Efficient Pumps and Motors held on

15.11.2018 at Southern Star Hotel Mysore.

Representatives from EESL, ICAI, Grundfos, SEEM, Siemens were invited as Speakers.

The participants from various Departments such as BSNL, BEBNMPL,

various industries representative, totaling of 60 nos. of participants were register themselves.

The programme began with a short prayer and lighting of the lamp.

Mr. Dinesh Kumar D.K, Project Engineer, KREDL welcomed all the officials from various departments who participated in the programme and the trainers of that day.

Mr. Sanjeev Ranjan, Managing Director, ICAI was the chief guest and inaugurated the Workshop.

Mr. Manas Kundu Director, ICAI rendered key note address.

The trainers then continued with the awareness program with an interactive session. The Speakers gave an update on the Energy efficient pumps, motors status and made the session very interesting.

The participants were provided with the KREDL book, study material set by

ICAI, agenda of the workshop, notepad and a pen in a bag.

Feedback from the participants was collected at the end of the day.

The programme ended as a grand success as the participants expressed their further interest in learning Energy Efficient pumps and motors further.

PAT oriented Energy Efficiency Technologies for Iron and Steel

Sector workshop

Venue : Hotel Nakshatra- LR, Ballari. Date : 28th November, 2018 Time : 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and Karnataka Renewable Energy

Development Limited (KREDL), SDA- Karnataka were organized One day workshop

on Energy Efficiency Technologies for Iron and Steel Sector in coordination with the

Sponge Iron Manufacturers Association (SIMA) and Karnataka Sponge Iron

Manufacturers Association (KSIMA). This workshop had given knowledge on Energy

efficiency technologies for stakeholders in Iron & Steel sector.

The workshop conducted in Hotel Nakshatra- LR, Ballari was attended by 12

speakers and witnessed an overwhelming participation of around 84 Nos. from the

various Steel and Iron sectors.

The BEE and SIMA were extended the technical support to this workshop for

arranging speakers from GIZ, EL Measure, Elpro Energy Pvt. Ltd, Thermax and

Tata Sponge Iron Ltd.

Training Workshop for “ESCOs on Energy Efficiency financing”

Date: 20th and 21st December 2018 Time: 9:30 AM – 05:30 PM

The Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL), SDA along with BEE

and in coordination with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) organized the two

days Training Workshop for “ESCOs on Energy Efficiency financing” on 20.12.2018 and

21.12.2018 at Bengaluru. This workshop had given an enhanced knowledge on current

ESCO market (National and International), ESCO empanelment and assessment

process, Baseline estimation approaches and M&V protocol, EE financing and

associated initiatives, technical and financial appraisal of EE projects. This program

will help the participants to interact with experts in different aspects of EE projects

such as technical, financial, baseline and measurement and verification (M&V).. The

two-day training workshop provided a broader perspective of the technical and

economic appearances of Energy Efficient financing for ESCOs, Energy

Auditors/Manager and for wide variety of stakeholders.

The workshop conducted in Hotel Gokulam Grand, Bengaluru was attended by 9

speakers and witnessed an overwhelming participation of around 70 from various

various industries representative, totaling of 70 nos. of participants were register themselves.

The programme began with a short prayer and lighting of the lamp.

Mr. Abdul Hameed, President, Kanara chamber of commerce and industry was the chief guest and inaugurated the Workshop.

The trainers then continued with the awareness program with an interactive session. The Speakers gave an update on the Energy efficient pumps,

motors status and made the session very interesting. The participants were encouraged to ask questions and get their doubts

clarified.

Dissemination Workshop for MSMEs on Energy Efficiency

Venue: Auditorium, Peenya Industries Association, Bengaluru Date: 29th, January 2019 Time: 2:00 PM– 6:00 PM

The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Govt. of India and

Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL), SDA- Karnataka

organized dissemination workshop for MSMEs on Energy Efficiency in association

with Peenya Industries Association (PIA), Bengaluru. This workshop was mainly for

SMEs to gain knowledge which highlighted the importance of Energy efficiency

technologies for participants from various industries and Engineering Colleges.

The workshop was conducted by 2 speakers and was witnessed with an

overwhelming participation of around 92 participants from the various Industries.

Regional Consultation Workshop on Enforcement Manual to implement

activities under Energy Conservation Act, 2001

Venue: Ashok Lalit, Bengaluru Date: 8th February, 2019 Time: 10:00 PM– 5:30 PM

The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, organized a

Regional Consultation Workshop on draft Enforcement Manual to implement activities

under Energy Conservation Act, 2001 on 8th February 2019 at Hotel Lalith Ashok,

Bengaluru, with the support of Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited

(KREDL), SDA- Karnataka and in association with Ernst & Young (E & Y). This workshop

was mainly conducted to discuss on draft enforcement manual and to take the valuable

comments/any other inputs from the key stakeholders i.e., form the SDAs and SERCs.

The workshop was conducted with an overwhelming participation of around 25 participants

from the various State SDAs and SERCs.
