INDUCTION TRAINING

• Aim : used for training new employees , they will not know where things are or who people are or what is expected from them.

• Lasts: several days.

Remember ‘induction’ sounds

like ‘introduction’ , introduces

new employees.

ON-THE-JOB TRAINING

• This is where a person is trained by watching a more experienced worker doing the job.

• Aim : Semi-skilled or unskilled workers.

• The employee does not need to be sent away , saves travelling costs.

• However , the trainer will waste time and will reduce her/his productivity.

OFF-THE-JOB TRAINING

• College or specialist training center.

• More varied and complex tasks.

• Involve lectures, role play , case studies or computer stimulations.
