To assist in understanding the learning principles, Techniques for Assessing Training needs at individual as well as organisational level.

To enable and understand the process of developing and designing Training Programmes

To assist the understand techniques methodology of evaluating training and development efforts

APPROACHIn order to facilitate learning, we shall follow the approach as given below:

a) Preparation of a term paper

b) Undertaking training need assessment exercise

c) Design and conduct of a development programme

The emphasis will be on doing by hand the following:

Assessing the Training needs

Designing the Training Inputs

Designing the instruments for the purpose of evaluation

Administering the Questionnaire and analysing the Questionnaire

Preparing a feed back report on the analysis

SYSTEM OF PARTICIPANTS EVALUATION AND WEIGHTAGES:

a) Preparation of a term paper on the topic in training and development and its presentation. It would have weightage of 20%

b) Quiz 20%

c) Mid-Term Exam 25%

d) End Term Exam Weightage 35%
