Dr. Raja Subramaniam has vast experience in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in Laboratories. He has been delivering short courses on OSH since 2001. Currently, he is the Unit Head of OSH at the Department of Chemistry Malaysia. He supervises the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems (OHSAS 18001) for the whole Department. He is a registered chemical health risk assessor and registered hygiene technician (chemical monitoring) with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia. Dr. Raja holds a PhD degree in Chemical Weapons Analysis from FOI, Swedish Defence Research Agency.
