From the SouthFrom M40 Jct 15 take A46 towards Coventry.
After approximately eight miles leave A46 at junction signposted ‘University of Warwick and Stoneleigh’.
After a further one and a half miles turn right onto the A429 (Kenilworth Road).
At the next set of traffi c lights turn left (follow signs for A45 Birmingham).
Half a mile after this junction take the left-hand turn signposted ‘University of Warwick’. Follow signs for University of Warwick (and Warwick Arts Centre) across two roundabouts. You are now approaching the University of Warwick from Kirby Corner Road.
From the WestFrom M42 Jct 6 take A45 towards Coventry.
After approximately nine miles you will pass a large Sainsbury store on your left. At the next roundabout (Fire Station on right) take the right-hand exit, signposted ‘University and Canley’.
Now follow signs for University of Warwick (and Warwick Arts Centre) across two roundabouts. You are now approaching the University of Warwick from Kirby Corner Road.
From the South EastFrom M45 Jct 1 take A45 towards Coventry.
After approximately seven miles you will reach Tollbar End roundabout (junction with A46) follow signs for A45 Birmingham.
Now follow directions as for arriving from the North.
From the NorthFrom the M69/M6 interchange (M6 Jct 2) take A46 towards Warwick and Coventry S & E.
After approximately three and a half miles you will reach Tollbar End roundabout (junction with A45). At the roundabout, follow signs for A45 Birmingham.
After approximately three miles you will cross the A429 (Kenilworth Road), half a mile after this junction take the left-hand turn signposted ‘University of Warwick’. Follow signs for University of Warwick (and Warwick Arts Centre) across two roundabouts. You are now approaching the University of Warwick from Kirby Corner Road.
Car Parking Arrangements
Parking for the day will be available in car parks 7, 8, 8a and 15 on main campus. These can be found on the campus map. All car parks are pay and display and the daily charge to park is £3.00.
Please Note: There are drop off points and limited disabled parking spaces available at the Gibbet Hill Campus only. All other vehicles must be parked at main campus. Unauthorised vehicles parked on the Gibbet Hill Campus will receive a parking ticket and may be clamped.
Important: Due to roadworks, parking facilities on main campus can be accessed via Kirby Corner Road only. Gibbet Hill Road is partially closed and will only allow access for drop off s and limited disabled spaces.

RailWhen visiting The University of Warwick, we advise you to travel to Coventry Station, not Warwick.
Coventry Rail Station, approximately four miles from the campus, is the nearest main-line train station. Coventry Rail Station is easily reached from London (Euston), Birmingham and Leicester, all of which run regular and frequent services direct to Coventry.
TaxiTaxis are also available from outside of the station to Gibbet Hill for approximately £10 (prices may vary during peak times) and will take around 10/15 minutes. If you do travel via taxi you should be asked to be dropped off at Warwick Medical School, Gibbet Hill campus.
If you require a taxi to collect you at the end of the day for your return journey, you can call 024 76 631 631 and ask them to collect you outside the Medical Teaching Centre at Warwick Medical School.
CoachIf you are travelling by coach, the most convenient major centre is Coventry which is well served by national links. Once you have arrived in Coventry, there are frequent local bus services to the University such as service 12 and U1.
MegabusMegabus also off er a coach service to Coventry from a selection of locations around the United Kingdom, including London. A Megabus coach stop is located at Cannon Park Shopping Centre which is a 45 minute walk to Warwick Medical School.
Bus There are frequent bus services to the University.
From Coventry Pool Meadow bus station, and visitors should catch the Travel Coventry services 12 or U1.
From Coventry railway station, visitors should follow the signs from the station to Warwick Road (a two minute walk) and from there catch the Travel Coventry services 12 or U1.
The 12 service has a bus stop just outside the Gibbet Hill campus which is very convenient. The Stagecoach service U1 travels along Warwick Road and onto the Central Campus.

Main Campus to Gibbet Hill
Warwick Welcome Service will be wearing yellow t-shirts on the day, allowing you to easily recognise them.
They will walk with guests to the Medical School buildings on Gibbet Hill Campus (a 12 minute up-hill walk). There will be an opportunity for a cup of tea at registration before the fi rst talk which begins promptly at 10.00am.
Shuttle BusFor early arrivals, the campus shuttle bus service will be in operation and is scheduled to pick up from Rootes Piazza at 09.05 am arriving at Gibbet Hill campus at 9.15 am allowing you 15 minutes before registration opens.
Please note that spaces on the shuttle are limited and are given on a fi rst come fi rst serve basis.

The MB ChB Open Day registration will be open from 09.30 in the Medical Teaching Centre reception (building 42 on the map) which is located at Warwick Medical School on the Gibbet Hill campus, a short distance from main campus.
Warwick Welcome Service As the car parks available for the open day are spread over main campus, we have arranged for Warwick Welcome Service students to meet guests and guide groups by foot to the Medical School at Gibbet Hill.
Students from Warwick Welcome Service will meet guests outside Costa Coff ee (building 54 on the map), under ‘The Big Screen’ in the Piazza, at:

Halls of ResidenceUnfortunately you will not be able to view halls of residence on the day, however if this is something you would be interested in, we would advise you to look into the University wide Open Day where they will be able to show you around and answer any questions.
ProgrammeWe hope to deliver an informative and exciting programme to you during the day. Details are available on the next page. Please note that the programme provided is subject to change.
Please be advised that plastinated prosections will be demonstrated for the purposes of medical education on the day.
During the Open Day you will have an opportunity to talk to representatives from the Student Accommodation team, Finance, Arts Centre, Student Support and many more.
Registration The MB ChB Open Day registration will be open from 09.30 am in the Medical Teaching Centre reception (building 42 on the map) which is located on the Gibbet Hill campus. The fi rst session from the programme will start promptly at 10.00 am.
GuestsPlease remember that the maximum number of guests is two. Due to the capacity of our lecture theatre, guests accompanying prospective students may not be able to access the presentations during the day. However, our café will be open during the event and guests are welcome to explore the campus and facilities at leisure.
LunchPlease note that lunch will not be provided during the event. There will be a lunch break between 12.45 -2pm when you can explore the campus and visit one of the many cafés, restaurants and bars.
The closest eatery is Café Gibbet Hill, situated a 2 minute walk from the Medical Teaching Centre. If you go out of the MTC, turn right, go under the bridge past the pond and follow the signposts on the Medical School Building. Hot meals are served until 2pm, whilst the coff ee bar off er freshly made coff ee and snacks throughout the day.
There will also be a mobile coff ee and snack van at Gibbet Hill campus on the day as well as the various cafés located on main campus including Costa Coff ee, Art centre Café and restaurant La Gusta.
