The TRAIN Florida APD Announcements and Upcoming Events help to communicate and provide support to APD learners. How does this help me? The TRAIN Florida APD announcements keep TRAIN Florida APD learners informed on the latest APD, ARC of Florida, TRAIN Florida, and TRAIN National learning opportunities to include, but not limited to:

1. New APD, ARC of Florida, TRAIN Florida, and TRAIN National training courses. 2. Enhancements and updates to the TRAIN Florida system. 3. Where to find help.

How do announcements work? TRAIN National, TRAIN Florida, and TRAIN Florida APD administrators frequently post important training and course information. They also post training related announcements onto the TRAIN Florida home page to provide learners with important information about upcoming events, notices for needed actions, and other general communication related to TRAIN Florida. Announcements can include “read more” links to additional information, outside of the TRAIN Florida home page. Will I be overwhelmed with announcements? No! The visibility of the announcements is set to the specific area or group needing to receive the information. Announcements have a set expiration date to remove the announcement from the home page when they are no longer current. The announcements rotate on the screen every 30 seconds. We encourage your local learners to review the announcements each time they log in to TRAIN Florida.

Step 1 The announcements are located on the left side of the home page. Step 2 APD has one announcement on the Home page. Stay on Top of the latest TRAIN Florida Information! The APD LMS Support team has updated our TRAIN Florida Announcement feature. If you need help, technical assistance or information to help you learn and manage TRAIN Florida, and you need it “Right Now!” and don’t want to wait for an email response! Check out the new APD LMS Support Announcements and get the answers to questions, inquiries or concerns. All APD Users in the TRAIN Florida system are strongly encouraged to frequently review the topics in this document: Topics:

Step 3 Here is how manage the APD announcement on the Home page

A. To view the APD Announcements and Updates, click on the “Click here to view the latest APD Announcements and Updates” link.

• This window will appear at the bottom of the page

• Click the Open button, and the APD Announcements and Updates document will open in

a new window, or

• Click the Save button, and save the APD Announcements and Updates document to your local drive. Note: You must be logged in the TRAIN Florida, in order for some of the links to work.

Step 4 A new announcement will appear every 30 seconds. Steps 3 show you how to use the Back, Pause, Next or Update buttons to navigate this feature. You can use the Back, Pause, Next or Update buttons to navigate this feature. Back Click the Back button to see a previous announcement.

Pause Click the Pause button to stop the announcements from rotating. Click the Play button to start the announcement rotation.

Next Click the Next button to see the next announcement.

Update Click the Update button to refresh the announcements.

Step 5 Can I search for an announcement? Yes! You can enter any keyword into the Search by Keyword or Course ID field and click the search icon,

. After you click the search icon, the Course Search page will appear. This page lists all announcements related to your keyword.

The upcoming events feature displays training events to include classroom and webinar trainings, or workshops scheduled by APD and other organizations in TRAIN for the next two months. Step 1 The upcoming events feature is located on the left side of the home page. You can access the upcoming events list, by clicking on the Upcoming Events toolbar. We recommend clicking Pause, to allow for easy review of this list and to give time to read specific upcoming events. You can then click play, to begin the rotation again. Step 2 The upcoming events rotate on the screen every 30 seconds and will return after the last Announcement is displayed. You can click the Home link to display the Upcoming Events toolbar. Step 3 Viewing the Upcoming Events list. Click on Upcoming Events or the Click to Expand button to open the list.

Step 4 When the upcoming events list displays we recommend clicking Pause to allow for easy review of this list. You can then click play, to begin the rotation again.

Back Click the Back button, it will close the list and take you to the previous announcement.

Pause Click the Pause button to stop the upcoming events from rotating.

Click the Play button to start the upcoming events rotation.

Next Click the Next button to see the next announcement.

Update Click the Update button to refresh the upcoming events.

Step 5

Viewing the Course Details You can view the course details by clicking on the more link. On the Course Details page, you can register for a course by clicking the Registration tab.

Step 6 What is the Search by Date feature? The Search by Date feature allows you to use the Calendar to search for upcoming events by clicking on a calendar date. When you click on the Search by Date link, it will display all Live Event (Classroom) trainings. Show the Calendar Events

✓ The page shows the calendar events for the current date.

✓ Click on a calendar date to view scheduled events.

✓ Click on the detail link to display course details.

You can register for the course on the Course Details page.

✓ Use the calendar navigation to search for future courses.

Step 7 What is the Show All Events feature? The Show All Events links opens a list of Upcoming Events, allowing you to access dates and registration links for on-site classroom trainings. Click the more link to display course details. Back Click the Back button to close the list and return to the home page.
