Blue Trail

Parking: Lot across from the Coliseum at the

corner of West Georgia Drive and Wolves Parkway

Entrance to trail: Cross to the North side of Wolves

Parkway from the parking lot into a small open

field. Trail entrance is to the left at a bridge.

Distance: 0.62 mile (approximately 0.46 loop with

0.08 out/back from trailhead)

Elevation and Difficulty: 33 feet in elevation

change; easy terrain, natural

Yellow Trail

Parking: Lot across from the Coliseum at the

corner of West Georgia Drive and Wolves Parkway

Entrance to trail: Stay on the South side of Wolves

Parkway and walk West on the sidewalk for

approximately 0.20 miles. Look for yellow blazes in

the grass that will lead you up an embankment. At

the top of the embankment, head West toward

the tree line and look for a yellow blaze and

“Nature Trail” sign.

Distance: 0.98 loop from the top of the embank-

ment off Wolves Parkway. There is a short-cut on

the trail that would cut the loop in half to approxi-

mately 0.50 miles.

Elevation and Difficulty: 75 feet in elevation

change; easy terrain, natural

Green Trail

Parking: From West Georgia Drive, turn onto Plant

Op Drive and continue until the road ends at the

parking lot next to the Track

Entrance to trail: From the parking lot, there is a

service road directly West of the Track. Head

South on the service road and it will turn into a

gravel/natural trail, where users will begin to see

green blazes both straight ahead and to the right.

Distance: 0.98 mile Figure-8 loop

Elevation and Difficulty: 60 feet in elevation

change; easy terrain, natural and gravel

The Green Trail is also the access point for UWG’s

9 hole Frisbee Disc Golf Course.

The University of West Georgia trails are for

the recreational enjoyment of students,

faculty, and staff. There are approximately 3

miles of natural trails and 1 mile of paved

trail on campus. Visitors and users of these

trails are asked to practice the following

safety and etiquette guidelines:

Tell someone your itinerary and

expected return time

Use the trail with a buddy and carry a

cellphone

Pack out all trash

Keep pets on a 6 foot leash at all times

Do not pick flowers, disturb wildlife, or

stray from the marked trails

Do not use the trail at night

Alcoholic beverages, drugs, smoking,

and firearms are not allowed on the

trail

The trails are multi-use, so be aware of

and yield to other bikers, runners, and

walkers when appropriate.

Red Connector Trails

Users can look for red blazes to indicate connector

trails that will link the 4 main trails together. All

connector trails are less than 0.35 miles, one-way.

Greenbelt Trail

The Greenbelt trail is part of The Carrollton Green-

belt which is a 16-mile paved trail throughout

Carrollton, Georgia. For a detailed map of

completed sections of the trail and information on

Distance: The University of West Georgia portion

of the trail runs from Lovvorn Road to Maple

Street and is 1 mile, one-way.
