    ANALYSIS

    PROBLEMS

Samant and his allies for personal benefit took advantage of the

happening sense of trade union strike. As a result textile mills owner moved

    their plants outside the city.

The closure of mills left thousands of workers jobless

Mill workers had used space & they rolled their property in real estatebusiness

    CASE

Mill workers demanded RMMS to recognize as official TU scrapping

    BIA,1947.

    Politicians were also involved.

Congress considered Samant as a serious political threat, as of now

Samant controlled minds of all mill workers and in no time he will be able to

    control parts and docks.

Shiv sena were also involved with the strike as to dominate increasing

power of Samant and tried to break strike.

    ASSUMPTIONS

SAMANT WAS INTELLIGENT, HE STOOD FIRST IN HIS

MATRICULATE, SO THE MILL WORKERS CHOOSE HIM AS ALEADER.

WORKERS JOINED SAMANT EXPECTING BETTER PAY AND

    GOOD WORKING CONDITION.

AS IT WAS CRUCIAL MOVEMENT IN MUMBAI, EVERY

    POLITICAL

PARTY WANTED TO DOMINATE SAMANTS AGITATION.

BUT LIKE EVERY POLITICIAN A DEVIL ARISED IN SAMANTS

MIND AND HE STARTED TO ESTABLISH HIS OWN POWER AND

STARTED TO PLUNDER HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY

CONCLUSIONSSAMANT HAD NOT LEAD THE AGITATION IN TRUE SNSE AND

PROPER INTENTION, IT COLLAPSED AND LAKHS OF WORKERS

    REMAINED JOBLESS.

POLITICALPARTY RUINED THE AGITATION BY DOMINATING

    POWER FOR THEIR OWN GOOD.
