Terms of Trade

Blackboard Wines is the trading name of Corporate Direct Wines 2008 Ltd (CDWL). 1. Prices are quoted for current stock only. Prices may be subject to change. 2. Claims for damaged or defective products or for short supply must be advised in writing within seven days of the receipt o f the product. Blackboard Wines does not accept returns unless there is prior arrangement with management. It is not the policy of Blackboard Wines to collect and credit end of wine list stocks. 3. Payment is Cash on Delivery, Credit Card or Direct Debit. 20 th of the month payment (to be settled in full on or before the 20 th of the month following invoice) may be available to approved account holders. Accounts not settled within these terms will be C.O.D until account is cleared. Interest accrues at the rate of 1.5% per month on outstanding accounts. 4. Notwithstanding any period of credit, legal and beneficial ownership of any and all products shall remain the property of CDWL until payment in full is made for them and for all other products supplied to the buyer. The buyer grants CDWL a security int erest in all products supplied by Blackboard Wines as security for all amounts owing by the buyer to Blackboard Wines and performan ce of the buyer’s obligations under these Terms and Conditions of Trade. If any of these Terms and Conditions of Trade is not complied with, CDWL reserves the right to demand immediate and full payment of accounts and CDWL or CDWL’s agent may exercise any and all remedies afforded to a secured party by part 9 of the personal Property Securities Act 1999 and enter an y building or premises owned, occupied, or used by the buyer, to search for and re -take possession of any products supplied by Blackboard Wines. The products shall be at the buyers risk from delivery. 5. The buyer must pay, on demand, any costs associated with the collection or the attempted collection of amounts overdue on any of the buyers’ accounts (including collection agents’ costs and legal fees on a solicitor and client basis). The buyer sh all pay all costs and expenses of CDWL in relation to compliance with any demand given by the buyer under section 162 of the PPSA, or in relation to any application for, or the obtaining of a court order to maintain any registration in respect of any of the secu rity interests created under these Terms and Conditions of Trade and the serving of any such court order on the buyer or the Regis trar of Personal Property Securities.

6. Prices quoted in our catalogue are exclusive of GST. 7. Blackboard Wines offers next day delivery within major metropolitan areas. Orders for next day deliver should be received no later than 1pm. Please consult with your Blackboard Wines representative for your local delivery times. 8. Delivery will be freight free on 1 or more dozen of wine or unbroken cases (for beer, ginger beer and water) to major metropolitan areas. On orders less than one dozen wine or unbroken cases for beer, ginger beer and Monster, freight will be charged at $5.00 per order. Delivery to areas other than major metropolitan areas may be charged freight on a per case basis. 9. The buyer acknowledges receipt of a copy of these Terms and Conditions of Trade and waives any right it may have to receive from Blackboard Wines a copy of any financing statement, financing change statement or verification statement that is registered, issued or received at any time in relation to these Terms and Conditions of Trade.

Maori Point Central Otago

Maori Point is a family-run vineyard specializing in Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris are specially suited to Central Otago’s unique combination of soils and weather. Stony infertile soils and low rainfall limit vigor. Vines put their energy into producing low volumes of intensely flavoured grapes. Each vine sends deep roots to find moisture in the fast-draining gravel and rocks below Glacial dust and gravel mulched with fragrant herbs and flowers give balanced nutrients to the vines Fruit production is limited by pruning, leaf-plucking and fruit-thinning to leave small crops of well-ripened grapes. Each vine has a history, hand-tended to produce fine grapes. Maori Point is a bend on the Clutha river where Maori goldminers panned for gold in the 1860's.

Alexander Martinborough

Established in 1989, Alexander Vineyard is located in the heart of the famed Martinborough Terrace, on the free-draining gravels of the old river terraces created by the Ruamahanga River in the internationally renowned wine village of Martinborough, “the spiritual home of Pinot Noir in New Zealand". The philosophy in the winery is one of guidance rather than manipulation of the winemaking process. This includes gentle basket pressing of fruit, followed by careful barrel selection and blending, to produce wines of depth, elegance and complexity suitable for cellaring.

Hudson vineyard is a family owned and operated boutique vineyard situated 8km south of Martinborough township on the road to lake Ferry. The vineyard stands on the historical soils of Wharekaka, New Zealand's first sheep station dating back to 1844. The 16 acre block was planted with Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir in 2003 followed by Riesling in 2004.

Sea Level comes from a small, family owned vineyard. The Vineyard is eight hectares and is situated along the Coastal Highway between Tasman and Motueka in the Nelson region. Sam Smail winemaker has a 'day-job' as the Chief Winemaker at Whitehaven in Marlborough.

A few years later, Guiseppe and his son Antonio began growing grapes on their farm at Tharbogang. They enjoyed considerable success as pioneer winemakers in the region, and the third generation of the family has now joined Antonio in carrying on this

Planting of the original vineyard in Langhorne Creek began in 1973, with 8 hectares of vines planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot and Malbec. With Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot planted in the 80’s and early 90’s. This vineyard was established on a Geneva Double Curtain trellis, and while this trellis is able to consistently produce fruit of high quality, it was found to be very difficult to mechanise. With the purchase of additional land in 1993 they started to plant a new vineyard built around the Smart-Dyson trellis. Vegan, organic and preservative free.
