To Whom It May Concern:

Our family has chosen to celebrate Tracy Bare’s 25th Birthday coming up

this year on September 29th, by showing our own appreciation to an organization that demonstrated multiple acts of kindness through some very difficult times in her bout with Rhabdomyosarcoma. The Make-A-Wish Foundation contacted us, we did NOT solicit their generous gifts and sincere efforts to make the life of one little girl just a little better for a while. They were wonderful to Tracy and the rest of the Bare Family, and they provided us with memories that will live forever.

The 1st Annual Tracy Bare Memorial Golf Tournament is being held on

October 1st at Pleasant Valley Country Club. All proceeds will be donated to The Make A Wish Foundation. Our goal is to raise enough money to adopt one child’s wish.

We need your help! We are in need of sponsors and golfers for our

tournament, in addition to donated items and gift certificates to auction off. All donations are tax deductible except for the golf fees paid to the course. If your business is interested in donating to this cause, we would greatly appreciate your input. All donations will be recognized as donated from your establishment in our Tournament Program and will be used for the sole purpose of raising funds to reach our goal, to adopt one child’s wish, in Tracy’s honor.

If you have any questions you may contact me at (703) 501-7026 or [email protected] . Thank you in advance for your consideration and support. Sincerely, Tammy Bare Tracy Bare Memorial Golf Tournament Coordinator Scott, Linda, Jason, Danielle and Jalynn Bare, Pat and Barbara Quinn Tracy Bare Memorial Golf Tournament Committee

Tracy’s Story Tracy Lynn Bare was born September 29, 1985. She was an adorable strawberry blonde haired, blue eyed, spunky, animated little girl. She loved to cook pretend food for her family, play soccer, ride horses and take her puppy Katie for rides in her battery operated Barbie Jeep. Tracy was a great student in school and loved by all who knew her. At the age of five, Tracy was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare, cancerous soft tissue tumor prone to children. She underwent several rounds of chemotherapy and radiation treatments over the next two years. At the age of seven Tracy lost her battle to cancer. Our family will never completely recover from losing Tracy however, we have learned to appreciate and “live” each and every minute we are here on this earth to the fullest. In lieu of Tracy’s 25th Birthday coming up this year on September 29th, our family has chosen to celebrate her life showing our own appreciation to an organization that showed her entire kindness through the most difficult times. The Make-A-Wish Foundation®

contacted us and provided memories to Tracy and the whole Bare Family that will be cherished forever. Here are a few examples: It was early one Saturday morning when Tracy jumped up and screamed as she stared out of the kitchen window. “Dad come quick, there is a big, white, stretch limo driving down our street!” “Really, it must be going to one of the neighbor’s houses.” As the limo stopped just past our mailbox and then began backing up our driveway, she began shrieking, “Dad, hurry! Now the limo is driving up our driveway and I think it’s for us!” What Tracy didn’t know was the limo been pre-arranged by The Make-A-Wish Foundation to take Tracy and our family to a ranch in Maryland to ride horses and enjoy a picnic lunch that day. That was one of the most special days in all of our lives that will never be forgotten. A few weeks later The Make-A-Wish Foundation made arrangements for Tracy to have her own horse at one of the local horse farms in Manassas. Tracy was able to ride Pumpkin whenever she wanted in addition to taking part in the grooming, feeding and customary care a horse requires. Pumpkin brought hours of enjoyment into Tracy’s life right up until the time she passed away. Tracy loved horses and The Make-A-Wish Foundation granted the wish that made a difference in the life of her and our family. These were difficult times for all of us and they managed to put her cancer on hold for just a little while. Our family will be forever grateful for the difference The Make-A-Wish Foundation made in Tracy’s life and ours.

The goal for our 1st Annual Tracy Bare Memorial Golf Tournament is to raise enough money to adopt the wish of one child. The average wish costs approximately $7,500. We are in need of sponsors and golfers for our tournament, in addition to donated items and gift certificates for prizes and to auction off. All donations are tax deductible except for the golf fees paid to the course. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at (703) 501-7026 or [email protected] . We hope you can help us make a difference in a child’s life, in Tracy’s honor. 100% of Net Proceeds will be donated to The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of the Mid-Atlantic

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The Foundation serves children who reside in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland and Northern Virginia. Founded in 1983, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic has granted the wishes of more than 6,500 children fighting life-threatening medical conditions such as cancer, pediatric AIDS, cystic fibrosis; Duchene’s Muscular Dystrophy and hear disease. A wish granted creates a memorable experience for a child fighting a life-threatening medical condition and gives him or her something positive to think about instead of medical treatments and hospital visits. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic is affiliated with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America.
