Control of Chemical Consumption and Inventory

Monitor all consumption of chemical in the factory.

PI System Data in real time monitor levels and flows of various chemical tanks.

Expedite Logistics and Service in the Factory.

• Warehouse and suppliers are informed when the inventory is not sufficient to maintain production to the next hours.

• None production stop related to

low stock since implementation.

• Avoid production stops due to lack of chemical

GOAL:

PI Notifications

Improvement of Predictive Maintenance in Boilers.

Monitor the quality of water which is used in the boilers, avoiding contamination

With PI Notifications data from laboratory and online measurements are monitored all the time. If something goes out the limits, an alert is sent.

Fast decisions in case of contaminations of the boiler’s feed water.

Implemented logic has made possible to trigger a notification when an atypical behavior occurred in some measurement.

• It has already detected seven atypical

behaviors classified as spurious since

the implementation of the logic.

• $4.8 million in savings per avoided

stop due spurious trip.

Detect false indication of measurements which may cause spurious trips in Recovery Boiler.
