Draft Seal Co. was founded in 1960 by Anton Kamensek then incorporated in 1973 as A. K. Draft Seal Ltd. During the 1990s we became known by our trademark name DraftSeal®, the largest manufacturer of weatherstrip products in Western Canada. After his retirement in the early nineties, his son, Chris, who had been with the company since 1973, purchased DraftSeal® and started the KrisTrack®, Eclipse Architectural® and DSD Hardware divisions. The year 2010 marked our 50th year in business as a manufacturer and supplier of weathersealing and door sill products for commercial and residential applications. In 2013 we introduced our new DS1 Storm - Sill System to comply with the new building code that requires exterior door sill systems to be tested for air, water and structural. We will be introducing our new DSF1 Accordion Screen, which is integrated with our DS1 Storm - Sill System. Our manufacturing centre in British Columbia, Canada, produces a line of weatherstrip and sill products for the pre-hung door industry as well as a do-it-yourself line of residential weatherstripping for the consumer market.

KrisTrack® Manufacturing Ltd., was formed in 1991 to compliment the DraftSeal® line of weathersealing and door sill products. KrisTrack®, a division of A. K. Draft Seal Ltd., manufactures and supplies sliding and bifold door track with accompanying hardware and accessories. Applications include residential and commercial. Our manufacturing centre in British Columbia, Canada, also produces a line of specialty pocket door frames custom made in knock down, half knock down, and ready-made styles.

This custom frame has plywood on both sides for strength and allows towel bars, grab bars and cabinets to be installed on the pocket frame wall without compromising the integrity of the frame and wall.


KT-Frame Rm Or HKD Series: Pocket Door Wood Frames Single & Double

The RM (Ready Made style) is fully assembled for quick and easy installation. The HKD is designed for ease of shipping and to minimize storage requirements. Chance of frame damage during transport is lessened due to compact packaging. Flat jamb, bottom rail and header are strapped to frame cage as shown below. Assembly takes approximately 10 to 20 minutes.

Frames built for 4-1/2” (114.3mm) wall thickness are designed to hold doors 1-3/8” (34.92mm) thick. Frames built for 6-1/2” (165.1mm) wall thickness are designed to hold doors up to 1-3/4” (44.45mm) thick.

Hardware Kit not Included, order separately.

NOTE: replace all track screws with # 8 x 1-1/2” (38mm) screws (included) after frame is installed and before drywall.

R.O. = 2 x door width plus 3” (76mm).Door height plus 5” (127mm) = R.O. height. Based on 3/4” (19mm) finished flooring thickness.

Typical gapping under door to finished floor = 11/16” (17mm). Pocket frame is installed on top of finished floor. If finished floor is not installed before pocket frame installation, then frame will be shimmed up for floor thickness.

Plywood can be applied to one side or both sides of pocket frame cage. Call for plywood pricing. Frame designed for 1/2” (12.7mm) or 5/8” (15.8mm) drywall.

Mondoor® Floating Pocket Door - Frame Systems can only be installed by certified Mondoor® Installers.

Mondoor® Pocket Frame includes: Magnets for top of door and all trim is included for both sides of frame. Trim available in 3 standard powder coated finishes: white, slate grey & bronze (RAL).Custom colors or wood grain also available, call for quote.
