• An excellent vehicle for fulfill-ing the State Goal

• Student projects are TEKS-based and focused but has in-terdisciplinary connections to the core content areas of Eng-lish, language arts, mathemat-ics, science, and social studies

• Schools and districts use the TPSP as an assessment to im-prove their services for gifted /talented students. The TPSP also provides summative and formative information on an individual G/T student’s learn-ing

• Taught in two phases

• Enables open-ended, authentic, and student-centered learning

• Scoring Dimensions or rubrics are used to describe the expec-tations
