FIND OUT MORE ABOUT BASKETBALL
CHOOSE CASH With limited ATMs available in the venue and most vendors accepting cash only, it’s best to plan ahead and bring cash to your session.
• When basketball was first played the objective of the game was to throw the basketball into fruit baskets. Every time a point was scored, the game was stopped so that a ladder could be brought out to retrieve the ball.
• Basketball made its debut at the Melbourne
2006 Commonwealth Games and has not featured on a program again until GC2018.
• Men and women play with different sized basketballs. During competition, women will play with a size 6 basketball and the men a size 7. Fas
