ASK AIRLINE SERVICE Riverhead The Suffolk Coun- ty Board of Supervisors on Mon- day adopted a resolution urging the Civil Aeronautics Board to permit airlines to operate from MacArthur Field. The board en- dorsed Islip Town ' s action in ap- pealing a CAB examiner ' s decision refusing to allow airline service at the Ronkonkoma field. Methodists Begin Membershi p Drive The Rev. Philip II. Dodd, pastor of the Sayville Methodist Church , announced this week that the local church is cooperating with 500 other Methodist churches in the New York area in a United Evan- gelism Mission. The churches are under the supervision of Bishop Frederick M. Newell. Beginning Sunday, November 30th and continuing until Wednes- day, December third, visitors from the Sayville church will call at the homes of prospective members in- viting them to " come with us to Christ" and "unite with the Church. " The visitation program is under the direction of Jackson White, membership chairman, with Ken- neth Morris and Charles Webber as visitation team captains. New members will he received into the Church on December 21st. Community Band Plans Weekly Rehearsals The Sayville Community Band held a rehearsal in the Sayville High School band room on Mon- day evening _ with Charles Van Schaick as conductoy. The group plans to meet every Monday eve- ning at eight o' clock and anyone wishing to join the newly formed musical organization is asked to be present at the next meeting. ASK AIRLINE SERVICERiverhead — The Suffolk Coun-

ty Board of Supervisors on Mon-day adopted a resolution urgingthe Civil Aeronautics Board topermit airlines to operate fromMacArthur Field. The board en-dorsed Islip Town 's action in ap-pealing a CAB examiner 's decisionrefusing to allow airline serviceat the Ronkonkoma field.

The Rev. Ph i l i p II. Dodd, pastorof the Sayville Methodist Church ,announced th is week that the localchurch is cooperating with 500other Methodist churches in theNew York area in a United Evan-gelism Mission. The churches areunder the supervision of BishopFrederick M. Newell.

Beginning Sunday, November30th and continu ing unt i l Wednes-day, December th ird, visitors fromthe Sayville church will call at thehomes of prospective members in-viting them to "come with us toChrist" and "unite with theChurch."

The visitat ion program is underthe direction of Jackson White,membership chairman, with Ken-neth Morris and Charles Webberas visitation team captains. Newmembers will he received into theChurch on December 21st.

The groupplans to meet every Monday eve-ning at eight o'clock and anyonewishing to join the newly formedmusical organization is asked tobe present at the next meeting.V There is a need for sousaphoneand French horn players, althoughany type of instrument is welcome.Gilbert Bishop was elected presi-dent of the group.
