1. There are two ways to reach the Online Payment screen:a. From our website: www.northhempsteadny.gov go to Receiver of Taxes and Online
Tax Information and Paymentsb. The link that will take you directly to the login page of our Online Payments Website is:

5. Under “EXISTING ACCOUNT” enter the User Name and Password you have just created and click “LOG ON”
3. Complete the REGISTRATION FORM with your information and then click “Submit Registration”
7. Once you have found your property, click on “Property Details”. If the information displayed is correct, click on “Register Property”.
2. Use the “CLICK HERE” link on the right side of the web page to “CREATE NEW ACCOUNT”
6. Click “Add Property” and search for your property. You are able to search by address, owner’s name or tax map number. Use only ONE search option. After clicking “Search Property”, the search results will display on the lower portion of the web page.
4. An email from ‘[email protected]’ will be sent to the email address you provided when registering. Open your email and click on the link provided to activate your account. You will then be brought back to the login page.

We are also encouraging residents to pay their taxes online on the Town’s website. Along with Receiver of Taxes Charles Berman we were able to waive all processing fees for online Automated Clearing House (ACH) E-check tax payments through May 11. Residents can pay online using a credit card. The online credit card payment processing fee will remain at 2.35% of the tax amount. New York State law mandates that the Town receives no portion of the service fee – that fee is retained by the payment processing vendors. Accepted credit cards are American Express, Mastercard, Discover, or Visa.

You can view and print your tax bill on-line, or make a payment via credit card, debit card, or on-line (ACH) check.

9. Click on “View/Pay Tax Bill” for the Tax Bill you wish to pay. Example, the 2012-2013 School Tax, is in the top section, top line, followed by the 2013 General Tax in the next section, top line.
13. After confirming your account information and/or credit card information, click “Confirm Payment”
11. Choose your payment method, Credit Card (fee is 2.35% of your tax amount) or online ACH/eCheck (fee is $0); choose FIRST HALF or SECOND HALF if you would like to pay the full year amount. Check the box next to “I accept Convenient Fee/Terms and Conditions”. Then click “Pay by Credit Card” or “Pay by eCheck” depending on your payment method.
15. You may click “HOME” any time and it will take you back to the main menu.

14. Upon approval of your transaction, a receipt will display. A copy will also be sent to the email address you provided upon registration.
12. You may change “Billing Information” if necessary. Complete the “Payment Information” section. The “Transaction Details” section displays the breakdown of the Tax Payment and Processing Fee. Then Click “Confirm Payment.”
