Town of Mucuchíes and Plaza "Las Heroínas"
Town of Mucuchíes
This population has an average climate of 11 degrees Celsius making it the perfect
option to visit if you love the cold and the tranquility, also gives you landscapes of
paramo combined with colonial buildings.
The population of Mucuchíes
located in Mérida state, 48
kilometers from the capital of
Merida, between the hills of
Santo Domingo and the Culata,
owes its name to the Mucuchí
Indians who inhabited those
lands, which were dedicated to
agriculture and veneration of
Their gods thus maintaining a harmony with mother nature. Today agriculture is
one of the main economic activities of this population.
Mucuchíes, capital of the municipality Rangel, has a height that exceeds 2800
meters above sea level, which is why we advise you, as you walk through its
streets full of colonial architecture and agricultural landscapes, walking slowly,

Plaza “Las Heroínas”
The Plaza “Las Heroínas”, Cultural
Heritage of the state of Mérida, is located
in front of the cable car of Merida, is one
of the main attractions of the city, it
honors the memory of the hundreds of
Andean women, who gave their life in the
struggle for independence Of Venezuela,
next to the Liberator Simon Bolivar.
Currently, it offers the public a space for
recreation, recreation and culture.
