Wastewater
o Lagoon depths: Large Lagoon is 5.50 feet and Small Lagoon is 6.50 feet o Aztech repaired the discharge line at Stevenson lane station o Aztech and ICS repaired the outfall piping and the slope under the out fall pipe (See
before and after photos) o ICS repaired over 78 small problems in the storage lagoon liner
Public Works
o Street lights along Layton Avenue repaired and working properly o Begun preparing equipment for Return Day activities o Completed edging and curb painting

ThenightbeforeReturnDayonTheCirclewewillhavefourbandstoenjoy:TheJonesBoys,DannyPaisleyandSouthernGrassBluegrassBand,BigHatNoCattle,andtheFunsters.Thisisagreatnighttoenjoymusicandsocializewiththepeopleofourcommunity.
Thisyear’sChristmasParadewillbethe50th,solet’strytomakeitagoldenonebymakingitthebestoneever.TheNewYear’seventonTheCirclewillbeanightofmusic,featuringGlassOnionandfoodvendors.Lastyearitwas9degreesandwestillhad200people.Hopefullythisyearwillbewarmer.Thiseventismadepossiblethroughsponsorshipsfromourlocalcardealerships.ThankstoBoulevardPrestonFord,FirstStateChevrolet,andMegeeMotors.RemembertosupportthemwithanewcarpurchaseastheyhelpmakeGeorgetowngreat.
WehavetheArtsandFlowersgroupcontinuingtomakeGeorgetownbeautifulwiththehangingbasketsand lowersinTheCircle.Thisyearascarecrowcompetitionbetweenbusinesseswillresultinwinnersgettinggiftcards.ThankstoViceMayorChrisLecatesforherhardworkinthecommunitytomakethishappen.
Ihopeyouhadtheopportunitytoobserveournewelectronicsignattherail‐roadtracks.ThisisaneffectiveandtimelywaytoshareimportantinformationaswellaspromotingupcomingeventshereinTown.
TheremodelingoftheTownHallcontinuestobeamajorproject.I’msureyouhaveobservedtheworkasyoutravelthroughtown.Whencompleted,thisbuildingandourAdministrativeOf iceBuildingwillbeshowpiecesonTheCirclecomplementedbytheCountyandStateBuildings.
IhopeeveryoneunderstandstheimportanceofnewhousingoptionsandyoungfamiliestakinganinterestintheTown.Theadditionofnewhomeswillhelptoincreaseourpropertyvalues.TheCouncilismakingdecisionstoenhancethequalityoflifeandbringpeopletoourgreattownandnotjustpassingthroughit.
