Open our hearts to assume without measure the love
which we contemplate in Jesus Crucified, Divine Source;
Grant that we may reveal it in turn to all our brothers and sisters
especially to the poorest whom we meet.In our personal journey,
help us to be prophets of communion, builders of peace and witnesses of hope.
Accompany our paththat we may be sanctified in our daily life,
animated by charity and fed by the sap of faith and the fraternity.
In the imitation of Mary, Most Holy Mother of Sorrows,
make us open to the action of your Spirit.Form us toward patience,
docility, meekness, and sweetnessand educate us to be your humble instruments
in our families and in our situations in life.Guard and protect, O God, the whole Canossian Family.
Guide and sustain us in our mission in the Church,
for the glory of God alone and the salvation of souls.
Amen.

Jesus Crucified breathes only CHARITY.St. MAGDALENE OF CANOSSA
ALC
Lay persons who:•discover that they are in harmony
with the charism of •Magdalen of Canossa,
• feel themselves called to live Christ Crucified's charity in a
secular dimension
•ask to share in the life and mission of the Canossian Family
ALC
•agree to allow themselves to be formed by the GREATEST LOVE and by devotion to OUR LADY OF SORROWS
ALC
•so as to bear witness to the Gospel in every environment of life,
paying particular attention to the little ones,
•the poor in the various expressions of poverty, •the suffering, •the young, •the elderly…•and the requests that their own local church may make
ALC
The calling to be a Lay Canossian is realised in different ways:
• with the promise renewable every year,
• with private vows,• with a commitment
to the missions "Ad Gentes"• with the free choice to live in a community,
in a manner and for a time that is mutually agreed.
The Association is spread throughout the world.

Our vocation is made up of
SECULARITY and CONSECRATION brought together
in perfect harmony.
SMM
Ours is a life lived in the world and immersed in temporal activities.
We do things in a new way.
LCBS
Our vocation finds its particular expression within our families and work environments.
In these places, we pay particular attention to little ones, those who are last or most in difficulty.
These experiences are fundamental to
our calling:
• a personal and community
journey consisting of listening to the Word, prayer and
contemplation
CF
•a journey of real, concrete sharing with the
needy and those who come last through the
reality of service, starting with the normal
everyday things •in the family, •at work and •in the parish
