TheVAASSeries750usesanelastomersealaroundtheperipheryofthegatetoacheivefluidsealing,asopposedtouni-directionalknife-gatevalves,whichareface-sealing.Theperipheralsealbeingsymmetrical,sealingremainsidenticalfromeitherdirectionofflow,thusofferingfullybi-directionalvalveshut-off.Thevalveisfittedwithaspecialelastomerquad-sealinthegland-packingwhichprovidesenhancedsealingtoatmosphere.

TheVAASSeries750offersastraight,unrestrictedflow-pathwithboreequaltoschedule40pipediameter.Thisfeature,combinedwithminimumface-to-facedimensionsofitswaferdesign,offerstheleastpossiblepressuredropacrossthevalve.
