Subject: 37AV50U & 37AV500U model version identification procedure

Information Item: Models 37AV50U and 37AV500U were manufactured using twoLCD Display Panel versions. Correct matching of the LCD Display Panel, Main PCBand LVDS Cable to the model version must be made when servicing these models.

Model version for the 37AV50U and 37AV500U may only be identified throughinspection of the model serial number. Inspect the model serial number of the unitrequiring service for the presence of the letter L in either the last character or thesecond from last character of the model serial number. The presence of the letter L ineither of the last two digits of the model serial number denotes a production versionchange. Refer to Table 1 if an L is present in either the last two digits of the modelserial number. If the letter L is NOTpresent in either the last two digits of the model

serial number refer to Table 2.

Use the following tables as reference to determine part numbers of the LCD DisplayPanel, Main PCB and LVDS Cable for the two versions of models 37AV50U and the37AV500U being serviced:
