Futbol Club TorreviejaFC Torrevieja completed their pre season warm up matches with apulsating 1-1 draw at home to beleaguered Orihuela CF and startedthe new season against Saturday Acero away from home onAugust 25th.Some bad news in that firm favourite Ramiro will not be wearing thewhite and blue this year. Ramiro celebrated his 29th Birthday lastThursday and clearly with one eye on his future has accepted a fulltime job outside of the region, negating his capability to train andplay with his beloved home town, for which this season he wasnamed captain. Fans will be saddened by this news as "Rammy"always gave 100% on and off the pitch for the club and was aconstant thorn in the opposition flesh. We all know that the crisishas hit hard in Spain and the young man has taken steps to givehimself a more secure future at a time when the years are runningout for him and his non stop running style on the pitch. We all wishhim well. Finally, do not miss Torry's first league home game on Sunday 2September with a 6pm kick off. Not only is the team fully chargedfor this encounter, but it should see the debut of Gasch against theclub of his birth town and the one he represented for the past sixyears. Carrasco will be wearing the Crevillente colours and it will begood to welcome him back to the Vicente Garcia, where he playedwith such flair and style last year. Entrance is 10 Euro for all, though under 16s get in for free, but great value is a 90 Euroseason ticket, which can be bought from the Torry Army office inSan Luis or from SJ & A Digit. All, Villa de Madrid, 41 Bajo16,Torrevieja.The six pre season games resulted in 3 wins and three draws, andthey won their first 'real' game against Acero away from home, 3:1.So the serious business now starts, with the need to put points onthe board and making sure that Torry are at or near the head of thetable all term in this pivotal season, where nothing less thanpromotion will be considered success

Welcome to Velocity Racing Spain at Circuito Cartagena...Oval/short Circuit Racing is motor sport performed within a flatcircuit of up to approx. 365m in circumference. This differs from aroad course in that it turns in one direction only.Oval circuits can vary dramatically in length and physical layout andtherefore each track presents its own unique challenges anddemands on the driver. Different forms of Oval circuit racing havebeen around almost as long as there have been cars to race as thiswas and still is (in our opinion) the best form of motor sport. Manycategories of vehicle have been used from the monster NASCARV8ʼs from the States to the very British minstocks. Here on theCostas, Velocity Racing Spain intend to bring a range of formulas, including 1300 Stock Cars, 2.0 Hot Rods, Lightning Rods, JuniorRods, Rookie Rods, National Hot Rods. If you're anything like usthen this is the ʻrealʼ racing because ʻtrading paintʼ & ʻrubbingʼ is justracing but without the very high speeds and without the likelihood ofserious accidents. We are looking for sponsors, volunteers, marshals, officials, medicalstaff etc., anyone wishing to help, drive or in need of a car to raceplease contact us on 674 256 147 or email: [email protected] wishing to have to drive on the day will need to be a fullypaid up driver and have the proper safety equipment. We always have ready built cars for Hire and For Sale. Contact usfor details or visit our website: www.velocity-racing.eu.
